Ditto. This actually landed me in some trouble in my speech classes in college sometimes

I was always one of the best speakers in class because I was comfortable and my speeches flowed well, but one of my profs was a stickler for having a detailed outline regardless of how the speech actually went.

All I want/need is a rudimentary outline if I have a good grasp of the subject matter and I'm off to the races.

Communication classes were the worst in college.

We had to have interpersonal and mass communications, so since they were required they had the 3 absences rule, miss more than that it was an auto F unless you dropped in time.

Yes, excellent.

Important to know and understand your topic as well as anyone else you are addressing. This will allow you to be comfortable with any questions or perspectives that may be addressed as a result of your presentation.

Yeah it was the same for money if I recall correctly.

I didn't skip class much in general, though, so thankfully it was never an issue. I wanted to skip more than I did, but it'd be pretty easy for the prof/TA to notice when the burly guy in the Corps uniform wasn't there if it was a smaller class

I had to take the classes in the summer because of traveling with the teams as student. The absences weren't excused even if being on a trip sanctioned and for the university.

I couldn't skip as I missed enough already and they class checked us.

I speak in front of anywhere between 50 to 250 people a day. No sweat off my brow, part of my job.

I'd rather take out my eyeball and rub it with sandpaper than do public speaking. I'm able to get through it by taking medication prior to speaking. I'll usually take propranolol and it will keep me from having a full blown panic attack. Even if I know my stuff backwards and forwards, it still terrifies me every time I have to do it. I've even avoided jobs that would be promotions just because I knew public speaking would be involved.

Experience is all that helped me. Still hate it and it never feels natural, but you eventually get used to it. Usually just try to move my eyes around and find a couple people to focus on. Helps a lot if I actually know what I'm talking about.

Took a speech class in college which helped in terms of preparing for different types of presentations.

Yes. Mainly because both my parents were avid Toastmasters members and gave me and my siblings opportunities to speak publicly at early ages.

Was a member for many years. Just don't have as much time anymore, but will eventually join back up. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life.

I like to hear my own voice I've been told so I would say I'm okay at it.

I was a subpar public speaker until I joined a Masonic lodge.

That went away fairly quickly.

My biggest issue now is sweating
