Are people from Maryland "Yankees"?

Just curious, as for my money that's the most difficult state to classify this side of Missouri.

Sorta. One of my roommates is from Maryland, and he definitely takes on the southern culture more.

Lincoln had Baltimore held under martial law. I would hardly call that "mostly neutral."

But Marylanders, for the most part, aren't Southern. Honestly, the most Southern people in Maryland are the black folks, who have thick accents, eat the right food, have the right attitude, etc. White Marylanders can DIAF.

In terms of food, fashion, and religion, those from Maryland are very southern.

If the white people in Maryland had accents, you couldn't tell it apart from ole miss.
