Left my laptop on the plane today. I filled out a lost item form on Delta.com. It's an old shitty IBM ThinkPad.

What are the odds I get it back? Anyone know how I can increase my chances of getting it back?

How weird, I was just reminiscing with my wife today about how I left my wallet on a plane a couple years ago. It was a connecting flight, though, and I realized it had slipped out of my pocket like 5 minutes after I'd deplaned, so I ran back to the gate and the staff was able to retrieve it for me. Near-disaster

Not sure about your situation, though. I think you've done about all you can do other than calling Delta's customer service.

Dude, you'll get it back right away. Don't even bother to change your bank passwords and credit cards.

It is a work laptop. There is no personal stuff on it.

Thanks, TBird. I think I will get it back. Just sucks. I was connecting in ATL and the f@&king flight was an hour late, so I was rushing to catch my next flight. Left it under the seat in front of me.

I got my favorite Calvin and Hobbes book back when I was younger.

Different times, for sure.

Depends on if whoever found it is honest.

I left a credit card in the seat pocket after paying for one of those in flight sandwiches on American. It was a dumb move not putting it in the wallet where it belonged, but whatever. I cancelled it out and didn't think twice about it afterwards.

Apparently the plane cleaning person found it early in the morning the next day and turned it in. I didn't file anything with the airline, but they contacted me say it had been found, which I thought was pretty awesome.

So there's hope.

I left my wallet on a flight from Dulles to Burlington, VT. Two days later I got the call that they found it in Charlotte. It was waiting on me at the Burlington airport when I got ready to go home.

F--- you!!

That is the first place I thought of when I realized I left it.

Can someone in Decatur send me my PPT when they buy my 3 year old laptop for $15?

I left a good book and the crew wouldn't let me back on to check.

They actually tracked us down and mailed a stuffed animal to us a few years back. Not sure same applies for laptops though.

Pretty good....I left my ipad in the pouch of the seat in front of me.....the really big seat in the first class section on an American flight from San Diego. Immediately called and the cleaning crew found it and turned it in.....American mailed it to me via UPS at no cost.

I left a DSLR camera charger plugged into a wall in a town in India. My driver was able to contact another driver to pick it up and bring it to me in Delhi about 5 or 6 hours away from where I left it.

That's service there

I left some of my pet snakes on a plane once. Never got 'em back, either.

I left some shite in a rental car once... after calling the place and the airport one I had no luck. 3 months later I get a call telling me they've been waiting on me lol. Stranger things have happened.
