I have a weird fascination with these and visit his site almost exclusively for the phonies. It's disgusting but I can't stop looking. It's mind boggling to see how many clowns are running around. It's a damn epidemic.

I know a guy who wears an army jacket with his name on it all the time. He's crippled from arthritis, but he doesn't correct folks when they assume wrong. He got his arse blasted one day by a real vet who called him out after he couldn't tell him he was actually a vet.
I do have an ACH, but it's just for when the SHTF.

Most are stupid enough to think they look legit.
I ended up with a couple of ACH, helmet light and bayonet this past year. Guy was an MP in Afghanistan and was having some PTSD issues and just wanted to get rid of everything he owned that had to do with his service. I paid more than they were worth, but he needed the money too.
eta- the ach's are sitting in the safe and likely will be there til who knows, the bayonet is collecting dust on a dresser and the light has been apart needing a battery since I got it.
eta eta - I wonder if I wear them with my realtree overalls, if folks would think I'm a cool military guy?

Not that I am taking up for any of them but the berets did always look like shite,I hated them. Should have just left the berets for SF,Rangers and Airborne. That being said these guys are arse hats and in some cases Blue Falcons.

It burns me up that I'm uncomfortable wearing my uniform in public and these D-Bag fakers are out there in fake-arse shite getting undue praise.

That's how it is now in ACUs. Still wear the beret in ASUs, which is fine with me. I don't want to wear an ugly-arse busdriver hat.

As somebody whose already been through the Army, I find these dumb asses hilarious. Dudes were higher than giraffe pussy if they thought no one would call them out.
Mixing and matching Air force rank on Army ACUs and Army boots with the air force uniform?
You know they're a fake right off the bat when you see all those white guys with facial hair. There's not that many of us with shaving profiles in the entire army.

I missed the BDUs and patrol cap when we went to ACUs. I really missed the black boots.

I missed getting to scream at Privates for having boots that looked like they were shined with a turd. I used to get my as reamed as a private and they took all the fun away.

This thread has made me pause. A couple of days ago I paid for the gas of a guy dressed in fatigues as my way of thanking him for serving our country. Now I'm wondering if I might have been generous to a parasite such as those you've listed. I had not even considered that someone could be that low down.

My ma' gave this fellow some money a few years back, 20 bucks or something so he could get to work or drive home. She asked me: What if he was just scamming me?
My point in return was: If he was, he probably needed it a whole hell of a lot more than you did.
I'm not excusing these guys, but I acknowledge that there is something very wrong in their heads that make them do these things. Call me soft, but I kind of feel bad for 'em.
