Am I about to be fired?

This morning, I got to work early and made coffee for everyone. A lady I work with is black and got here on time and we were making small talk and thanked me for making the coffee. I was being sarcastic and said, "I slaved over the pot all morning" and it wasn't a big deal. How fired am I for using the term slaved? Am I a racist now? She didn't seem to catch it btw

I was at a lunch with about eight people, including two black ladies a few years ago. We were discussing chores we performed as children. One man mention his dad was a "slave driver" about chores. One of the black ladies got up and said she didn't have to sit there and listen to racist talk and left the restaurant.

Depends are you a person who can say anything and people laugh or are you the type of person who tries to say inappropriate things and people are disgusted? The reason I ask is if it’s the latter you arse is canned or should be.

Well, blacks dont have a monopoly on enslavement throughout history. Common sense from everyone would go a long way in these kinds of matters. PC culture will be the death of this country.

I can’ understand why people of the AA ethnicity don’t blame Britain for their ancestors’ enslavement. The British were the ones who brought them from Africa. America freed them.

Do we know if they don’t do this also?
I don’t live in the UK so I wouldn’t know how they act around there.

Basically the same principle. It was not the US that founded slavery in North America. Why do so many AAs feel that it was, to the point of demanding reparations?
