They're not firing him mid-season.

The guys in charge of this aren't the 'I'd bomb the shite out of them' type. They have better sense.

And the guy who said 'I'd bomb the shite out of them' won't do it now that he's the one holding the key.

Part of the fun and job of the fan and person with no responsibility to a situation is to overreact and vent.

I like Coach Anderson and want him to stay. He will turn this program around; it was a horrible mess when Haith left.

Stick with Coach A

You may well get your wish. I doubt any decision has been made on KA. It will depend on whether the team improves and by how much, if he can retain 'his' guys, and who is available to replace him.

This is not based on anything observable.

At this point this is about 98+% correct.

Unless Barnett can step in and be the best player on the team, by a lot. It doesn't look good for KA.

Firing KA mid season would be tough on what little recruiting he is able to do.

I think Mizzou should go after Scott Drew from Baylor. He makes less than $2 million and is a good coach and Recruiter.

He was born in Missouri and his brother coaches in the SEC. If we can pay $3 to $5 million a year we may be able to lure him away from Baylor.

No to both.

ETA: not that it matters, but his salary is up to $2.5M.

If Mizzou is serious about hoops the first round of targets needs to be
Marshall from WSU, Martin from Cal, & Collins from Northwestern.

I don't think we even go after Marshall this time. I'm not sold on Martin. He's been in our league before and underperformed, IMO.

Probably wrong about his salary. I used Wikipedia as a source.

He has completely turned Baylor's program into a legit program.

He may not be the best coach, but he is good and really good recruiter.

The Marshall idea is out. He doesn't want to coach at Mizzou or rebuild a program.

I think he just got a raise after 2015.

Underperformed?

His teams got better each year at Tennessee, look what has happened at Tennessee after he left.

Collins is an interesting guy to watch. Northwestern has no hoops history. Never been to NCAA tournament. Has the Duke pedigree. Has recruited the way good Mizzou teams of the past were recruited.

Would he want to take on another rebuild?

Do you really think Mizzou has the juice to lure Drew away from Baylor? Assuming Baylor matched the salary, why leave for Mizzou?

Keatts would be the next tier down with
Dambrot from Akron, Sampson, Ammaker, McCasland at Arkansas State, & McCall from Chattanooga.

The next tier down from what? There aren't any upper tier coaches taking the job.
