Fair enough. Can't argue that.

No question.

Before the last drive, the cut to Lock on the sidelines and he had that girly smile on, almost seems like he doesn't know there is a game going on. You just don't see the intensity in the eyes. It's the "Oh well. I'll still make bank" attitude that emanates from him, rightfully or wrongfully.

Gotcha. You went as far back as Smith, so I thought that meant all time. Awhile back Rock M Nation had a nice rundown of the best QB’s in school history.

Locks physical gifts with Corbys balls and our only loss is at Bama this year.

He has played his way into the 4th or 5th round. He never targeted Floyd last yesterday, threw Johnson out of bounds on a crucial play, missed at least 3 throws to Knox when he had 3 yds of separation and was pulling away, missed a wide open Albert on a 3rd down crossing route because he had to throw on the move and didn't target Alberts back shoulder on release. Albert had a TD batted away in the EZ because Lock didn't throw the ball when he started out his break. He has spent time with a QB guru the last two summers and has now coached by two people now that have developed Heisman winners. The holes in his game are on him.

Dooley made a handful play calls that I certainly wouldn't have made but he is calling a lot of plays with open skill players that aren't being hit by the QB. Lock not making plays was a bigger issue than Dooley's play calling.

Nuke... What would you have called on 3rd and 2?

I respect your opinions and evaluations.

For someone who's been with several qb gurus, he still looks at one receiver and "locks" into him and never looks off them.

Last night he chucked it to the right on the same play, several times without even looking at anyone else. I was like, dude, they know!

Lock, Dooley and Odom have all become predictable. AND almost any attempt to change a play requires a timeout.

If the guy in the stands knows what is coming, I suspect the opposing DC has a good idea as well.

My preference would have been power at Allen, especially if Allen is on the boundary. LR3 and Crockett could have picked up the yardage and at worst UK has to burn it's final TO. But I don't have a problem with that throw either. It's pitch and catch. Making it on time moves the chains. Lock waited until the LB had a chance to recover and put the ball on the wrong shoulder. He puts that throw off Johnson's left shoulder and the LB has to go through Johnson to get to it. It's either complete or a PI at that point. There was another 3rd down play to Knox on a curl that Lock waited on and tried to hammer it in between two defenders. Thrown on time, Knox makes an easy catch. Instead, the safety got to Knox the same time as the ball and forced a punt.

The bottom line is the games vs SC and UK were both in his hands. These aren't games were they had more dudes and MU got worked. Lock is supposed to win those games for his team by executing the offense. He holds onto the ball too long and does a poor job placing throws.

Y'know, I love reading Nukes analysis. We're fans, but he truly comprehends this stuff in depth.

It's disappointing because they are wasting winning LOS play on both sides of the ball. Stichcomb was spooging about Allen and his strip sacks but said nothing about Lock's lack of an internal clock and the line holding for 4+ seconds on those plays. Instead of taking what the D was giving, Lock tried to wait for a homerun and lost the rock. It killed two drives that started with promising field position.

You may be right about Lock. You really might.

but he has gotten the shaft with this coaching staff and we won't know until he goes pro

Lock at 6??? When it's all said and done he'll be #1.....as far as the NFL. Brad & Chase at 1 & 2 AT THE COLLEGE level I agree with.

If you don’t count his fall from grace lock doesn’t even come close to Mauk. Mauk vs South Carolina, Tennessee, and Arkansas in must win games was absolute nails

That Missouri offense with Mauk is what this team should be. But lock was crowned before he even threw a pass and by god we’re gonna die trying to show him off
