I'm disappointed in myself for not getting drunk enough to withstand the pain. I shut that shite off.

At least Drink says the offense was his fault. I'll give him that. Doubt it changes anything though.

He always does and it never changes.

It reminds me of Mike Martz saying "Shoot, we'll fix it" (pass protection) only to get more of the same with his quarterbacks getting killed waiting on receivers trying to run 17 yard dig routes with 5 on 5 blocking up front.

We beat no one. We were slightly warmed dog shite.

It's a shame too because you could clearly see this was (as Drink said early on) his most talented team to date.

Everything about the passing game needs a retool, but it's hard to imagine things changing much.

Hopefully Lindsey values his quarterbacks enough to not run them thinking their Lamar Jackson.

I don't know about all that.

Blizzard up here. 10-12 inches by morning.

Mr. Covid came visiting a couple days ago. A Google search confirms we both have a chance of surviving.

And then this fricking football team.

But at least we have basketball!..

Is it safe to say this was the best defense and deepest/best running back corps in the Drink era? The special teams and and quarterback were not close to the best. Who knows about the receivers? The OL? Pretty good.

If we had a quarterback who could deliver on time to the right spot (like Virginia's last night) things would have been different in the Win-Loss column. We had a shite load of talent defensively.

Brady Cook easily gets the W, and some timely 3rd down conversions via his legs.

Yep, Cook made Drink look like a competent play caller ... simply cause he could go off schedule. Same thing with Pribula before he got injured ...

Unfortunately the team was weak up the middle (Center, QB, and Safety).

Yeah, Tollison was a turnstile this year. Not the same after the injury.

Better OLine play is essential. Most of Hardy's and Roberts' yardage was after contact. And the pass pro was not up to par, either. UMass had 4 sacks! And several more pressures.

Overall, what this team needs next year is for Drink to get out of the offense entirely. He says he leads in the formulation of the game plan and then the OC has to execute it. That handcuffs the OC. He needs to get out and stay out, and trust his OC. And who knows how often he overruled Moore on play calls?

I don't think Pribula's that good even when he was healthy. We have a bunch of second or third stringers starting at qb right now.

I agree 100% but I will have to see it to believe it.
