I must admit, I enjoy watching you two go at it.

Wonder if Odom has a career at Mizzou somewhat similar to Holgorsen at WVU. Holgorsen always seemed to have that 1 or 2 losses every season that kept his teams from getting over the top. And that loss or 2 always kept a faction of the fan base from ever accepting him.

That's a good comparison. WV has a stronger fan base so Halgorson lost fans for W-Ls only, Odom will also be judged by attendance and revenue, which probably isn't 100% fair but it is a reality.

West Virginia probably has higher expectations than Mizzou. If he can win 6-8 games/year, we’ll build him a statue.

No statue, but like Dana Odom won’t be fired if he wins 6-8 games per year with a 10 win season once every 4 seasons.
However a portion of the fan base will never accept a coach that does that. And maybe like Dana he leaves for G5 job that’s easier to win at. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dana wins big at Houston over the next 4-5 years and gets another P6 job.

Hey Jesus! Nice call on this recruit! It’s awesome we got a 6’4” 4* WR! MIZ!
Now if he gets 8 more, fires Walters, and hires a decent DC he MAY have something

The only team we face that is going to line up and try to run straight at us will be Georgia and Vandy. Everyone else on our schedule on our schedule is running pretty heavy spread concepts. Ole Miss and Arkansas are basically Big 12 teams
MU didn't give up 300 yds because Wyoming overpowered them at the line. The runs were a function of gap shifts and motion. There's a decade is tape showing what Wyoming's staff does and MU was prepared for none of it. They manipulated the second level and the safeties to create seals and creases.
Go look at Bussen's article. Lee spent a lot of time sealing the edge by taking on the TE and pulling linemen. Things that are unsung but reduce the gaps RBs can find. Now we have a 200 lb guy trying to do that because the DC is trying to cover his inadequate coaching ability.

Do you really think the 15 lbs that Lee had over Oliver and Perkins makes that big of a difference on their ability to seal the edge?
Posted on 9/6/19 at 7:35 am to wubilli
Lee played at 230 and had a considerable length advantage over both players. All of that matters in being able to shed/hold the edge. Don't be stupid.

Then he played above his weight on the official roster. He’s only 1” taller than Oliver. He the same height as the freshman Brown and shorter than Harrison the other freshman recruited to play there. Both those need to fill out first. They are both listed at 180.

Wingspan and arm length are what determines "length".
Only you would argue that 18 lbs is negligible for an in the box defender.

It’s a legit question that we will get an answer to this season. Stats last season for when Perkins was in vs Lee tilted towards The defense being better with Perkins on the field.

Starting with homecoming Lee logged 220 snaps and didn't get any vs Tennessee.
Perkins logged 82. 42 of those were vs Tennessee.
So no, Perkins did not get more reps than Lee the second half of the season and you are legitimately trending as completely full of shite.

Those numbers don’t match what Morrison reported last year.

Why you always stoop to name calling with everyone? Is that what being a Navy grunt taught you?
Posted on 9/6/19 at 3:35 pm to wubilli
You fabricated some bullshite and proceeded to double down on it. Not my problem.
I ran the mechanical engineering division on a ballistic missile submarine. I couldn't think as slow as you if I tried.
