Eh. Mahomes is a first year player with a junk defense and almost won.

...and they get some defensive players. Go Rams!!!

NFL OT rules need to be taken out back, shot, pissed on, shat on, then thrown into a live volcano.
It’s dumb and it’s the only stupid sport on the planet with such retarded rules.

Have you felt this way before the Chiefs lost about the OT rules?

I like it better than college OT. Chiefs had plenty of opportunities, but blew them. It sucks Ford was offsides on the would be game clinching INT.

You think winning the coin flip should be that much of an advantage?

College OT is significant better than pro OT.
I’d have them start at 50 though

Correct.

Incorrect.
Chiefs are an inept franchise. Mahomes will be wasted playing for them.

That Dee Ford call was bullshite. DE/DT are lined up in the Neutral Zone all the time and the call is almost never called.
He was lined up in the NZ. No one would have even noticed it if the flag wasn’t thrown, because it is so common.
Guarantee if they go back and look at film it will be something both sides and all teams did all year. It was the wrong time in the game and season for it to be called.
It was the right call, but not something that is strictly enforced.
There are other reasons the Chiefs should have won the game, but that call was a bullshite call.
The Chris Jones was a call that was bullshite as well. It was a call that a back judge called and couldn’t even see the play.
Both teams got away with missed calls, but the bad calls called against the Chiefs in the 4th probably hurt the outcome of the game.

It was the right call. He was lined up well over the line. I have literally 0 issue with them calling that, regardless of precedence or scenario.

This was absolutely a bullshite call. There is only one egregiously bad call that went against the Chiefs, and this was it. Shame for the ref to throw a flag on that.
Nonetheless, Chiefs lost it for themselves with piss-poor coaching and gameplan. I assign 100% of the blame to Bob Sutton/Andy Reid and 0% to the refs.

I disagree. I hate teams already start college OT in scoring position without even doing anything.

I’ve always hated NFL OT rules. They make no sense. Only sportin the world to decide the game by... coin toss.
Both teams possess the ball. Opening drive TD? The other team has to go for two. Would force coin toss winner to think long and hard. If it’s tied after first two possessions, then I’m okay with next score wins.
Defensive scores still end the game.

NFL overtime rules are terrible. I like the college rule, but would back up the starting point to midfield or even their own 40 to force the offense to at least do something to get into scoring position. Both teams should have an opportunity to score. As far as the officiating goes, there are ALWAYS blown calls, bad calls, and missed calls in every game for and against both teams. You can only hope that they balance themselves out during the course of a game. I was always taught that one call never wins or loses a game.

If Edelmann touched the punt - Chiefs win
If Dee Ford not called for offsides - Chiefs win
If Chiefs win OT coin flip - Chiefs likely to win.
As far as next year, if Gronk retires, Brady is far less effective. The Pats will just get older and the Chiefs will get more mature and experienced.
A telling graph last night was the fact that no Chief had ever gotten this far in the playoffs, but almost every Pat had multiple times.

The Chiefs lost because NE went 13-19 on 3rd down. Letting Poe leave and busting on LB picks since 2015 are why they will be watching the Super Bowl instead of playing in it.
