DeAndre Baker is their projected pick. They won't trade out if he is still there.

DeAndre Baker #1 draft weakness

Weaknesses
“Lacks effort in run support would be putting it nicely. Often waits for ball carrier to come to him and lacks aggressiveness vs. the run.”

This is something the Chiefs will be looking at.

The combine will also change teams minds on who they draft. Some of the projected 1st round picks will drop to the 2nd round and others stock will rise. A weakness in the run support will not change.

I would rather sign extensions and have 2 1st round picks next year. If they can get a 1st round pick next year and a 2nd round pick this year would be hard to pass up.

Signing FS like Tyrann Mathieu or SS Landon Collins could both make a immediate impact.

Finding a impact CB and NT in free agency will be hard.

They would probably have to trade for a impact NT. Suh is a FA but he does not fit in KC’s 3-4 as NT. Suh would fit good as a DE in KC’s 3-4 opposite Jones.

Who ever wrote that was really reaching to find something wrong with his game. Walter FB has him ranked #1 at his position. He locked up Deebo Samuel, E Hall(hurt) and Jerry Jeudy this year and won the Thorp Award.

He is a press man corner and an immediate impact player that KC won't pass on if they can get him.

Michael Pierce is a FA that they better be looking at. Bennie Logan is available as well.

Patrick Onwuasor is someone they need to look at as well.

Listen closely, it sounds like "Tom Brady".

With Spagnuolo as the DC the Dline will probably go to a 4-3 base.

That puts Houston and Ford on the outside. Chris Jones to the inside and ? for the the 2nd DT/NT. Allen Bailey and Derrick Nnadi will probably be backups. The Chiefs will need extra players on the line, because of how fast the offense plays. Rotation on the Dline will be important. That is something they struggled with this year. The players that was on the Dline rotation were a big weakness.

This will also change how they draft. If Dexter Lawrence the DT from Clemson drops to 29 they may draft him. His draft stock has went down because of the drug suspension.

I still would prefer to trade out of the 1st round. Clemson’s defense looked just fine without him.

Right now there are 2 guys on the team that can play wide 9, Ford and a rookie(Speaks). Houston and Kpassagnon are the best fits on the other side.

Jones can slide to 3 Tech. Williams, Nadi, and Harrison round out the NT/3 Tech two deep? That's horrible. Bailey doesn't have a fit in this front.

O'Daniel(Rookie) is the only 4-3 WLB on the roster and Ragland and Hitchens are garbage.

I get that teams are in base about 30-35% of the time but instead of being 2 guys away with the front 7, they need to find 4 assuming Speaks and Kpassagnon, and O'Daniel can provide reps.

All of those personnel issues to deal with and the secondary hasn't been touched.

Still don't like the hire.
