Well, this is what happens when you won’t pay your staff. I’m not surprised

He's from Texas. Played his HS ball there. Dad is/was a longtime FB coach there.
Makes it more understandable.

I'm waiting to see his contract to compare with Mizzou.

Tough guy to replace. He recruited his room well and proved he can develop players.

Is he? Dooley coached TEs in the NFL so there's that

Dooley coaches WR.
This is a huge loss.

Yes, I think he is. Albert is a stud but the work he did with Parker speaks for itself. Kid hadn't caught a pass or ran a pattern other than fricking around his entire career and he is now a high upside TE in a SEC offense.

Dooley coached TEs at LSU and in Miami with Saban.

Maybe Iowa has a quality control/TE available that would like to move up to a TE coach position. They seem to develop TE's also.

Finley was one of our best but without an opening at OC, we couldn't keep him. He'll make 150k more and be closer to home. No brainer.

Agreed.

I’d guess he makes closer to $50k more than he would’ve if he didn’t get a raise at Missouri, which assumes he wouldn’t have received a raise here.

That would be a great place to start. I'm also sure Dooley has some people in mind. If he hires a QB coach, he can take the room himself and it will be fine.
Jimbo got a good coach, that is for sure.

New compensation package still under discussion. Speculation on pay differential is meaningless for now.
My guess is he wanted to go home, money was secondary.

Mizzou offered to match the contract he got at A&M. This wasn’t about money.

Believe you, but need sources.

You are such a whiny little bitch, JQ.
I’m sure Mizzou could have kept him if they wanted. Maybe people person Odom spurned him. Maybe he wants to live in Texas where I believe he’s from. Maybe he’s angling for an eventual OC job.
Who knows.

Difference between Mizzou and other SEC schools:
Finley goes to A&M;
Mizzou fan - shite, he was great at developing TE's. Look how our TE's play.
A&M Fan (according to their board) - Can he recruit?

Regardless of why he left, he put everything he had into the program and elevated the play of his room. Can't ask for much more than that.
