Odom has a lot of experience on that staff. I doubt Drink will be able to get that type of staff. Doesn’t mean they won’t necessarily be better...but he hasn’t been coaching as long as Odom and doesn’t have the same contacts.

Then why did Sterk hired this coach? Maybe he knows that Drink can set up a nice coaching staff. I will be shocked if Drink failed to set up a good staff that can compete and beat Arkansas and some other team in the SEC. Sterk would not be stupid to hired him and think that the coaching staff will be automatically be there for Drink without him doing much work? If that is the case then Sterk will be fired. Give Drink a chance first before you make any decision on the coaching staff.

Please don't bring defensive coordinator Ted Roof. Their defense gave up a lot of big plays and their tackling was worst than Mizzou's tackling.

Here's Appalachian's recruiting class for next year.

I don't think this is a gimme bad thing.

I think I liked the way Davis recruited, but am not 100% sold on the coaching.

However, I don't know how much or how little of the line's regression was on Davis' coaching.

Between the obvious behind the scenes mess the offense obviously went through and Bryant's penchant for taking 5-6 seconds to make up his mind on every pass play...there were other factors.

Ryan Walters is key. Even if he moves over to safeties, although DC would be ideal. He basically learned under Barry for 4 years here and at Memphis in 2014. I think he's ready for things to actually be his now.

Embarrassing. Why did we fire Odom if the new coach was going to have to hire a new staff!!!??!! This doesn’t happen at Nebraska and other places football. Staff is needs what we.

Per Matter on Twitter

He coached Drinkwitz's cornerbacks this year at App State.

He was a co-DC at Auburn in 2013-14 and coached the safeties. Has also worked at Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Mississippi State. Was Arizona Cardinals cornerbacks coach in 2018.

I would like to think this means he would do something different in the secondary after the 4th or 5th key 3rd down completion, which would be an upgrade to our recent defensive decision making.

I'd think this means Walters or Gibbs is gone after signing day.

I think Walters and Gibbs are still out recruiting. Harbinson has been an OLB coach before. It’s possible all 3 stay. But probably not.

How effective is a recruiter who knows he isn’t going to keep his job. Seems dishonest on all fronts
