From a recruiting standpoint, I would really, really hate to see us wait that long.

There was recent info floating around from some source that this Chaney guy is very interested in the Mizzou OC job, but......Mizzou has yet to reach out with a contact.

Greg DeArmond said he thinks it might happen in a few weeks but that was just speculation. Wouldn't be surprised if it happens before New Years or even before Christmas.

I would rather take a long time to make the right hire than rush it and make the wrong choice. Sadly if Chaney is the guy we may have to wait until Tennessee figures their crap out.

Very unlikely to happen. Alden and Pinkel will keep it very quiet. Just look at the idiocy surrounding the TN HC position.

I've heard both Chaney and Franklin mentioned as candidates for the VT OC position. I hope we're being very aggressive and just quiet about it.

Newest word is that Wisconsin is looking at ISU's Rhoads for thie HC job. What would Campos do then if that transpires? Back to Mizzou? Stay at ISU? Go to Wisconsin with Rhoads?

This is what concerns me. We've lost our best recruiter when some of our recruits are looking around, and when there's opportunity to maybe swipe some from another school in turmoil. I definitely want them to find the right person, just hope it's sooner rather than later.

I think Andy hill is a very competent recruiter himself, we will be alright without yost but it would be nice to get a new OC named

To me the highest priority at this point is a good solid OC hire. The recruits will come. Maybe not this year but in the near future.

It would be awesome if we got him back, one can only hope...
As for OC, I think I like Franklin the most of the candidates I've seen. That offense about took down A&M this season.

According to Gabe it's a three horse race between Chaney, Henson and hill. From what I've read if Chaney wants the job he will get it, otherwise it'll be an internal hire.
