Why couldn't Nebraska have been like this when I was growing up.

Was thinking the same thing.

When you can’t rely on Prop 48 and illegal supplements to win anymore, you look like them.

I’m young enough that I didn’t get super into college football until the mid-2000’s. I thought Nebraska was just a podunk school that we always beat down just like Iowa State. My first memory of them was trouncing them in 2007. Only later did I learn of the Nebraska that existed before my time

Huskerboard: "You can't expect a 4th year starter Martinez to be as good as the guy who couldn't crack the 2 deep at Rutgers."

I'm going to say what I said about Kansas, why don't we get to play them now when they got to play us at our worst

Exactly my thought also - we picked up CFB around the same time. Probably why no one our age wants to play for them.

The most successful Nebraska team I ever remember us playing was the team with Ndamukong Suh.

And the Mizzou offensive line erased Suh the whole game.

Yep. Pelini/Suh is the only decent Nebraska team I’ve ever seen. Otherwise pathetic program for most of my time following CFB

I actually hate that they are this terrible because we had to suffer their reign of terror and now they are losing to everyone. Now these Big Ten folks think the Big Eight was weak because they can beat up on the corpse of the Huskers.

The Nubbers suck arse and I revel in it. Had friends who were fans in HS.

frick that Roy Helu Jr game though. Beat OU and drop a turd and let a mediocre POS go for 300 on the ground.

Also.

frick Blaine Gabbert. Total dog shite without DX.

They are fricking terrible. Talk about a painful game to watch. Granted, I loved every second of it

I'm happy for Ryan Walters more than anything.

At least you can take solace that there’s a whole new generation of CFB fans, many of which are old enough to have a family and kids, who think of Nebraska as a shite program.

Those beat downs of the 70’s-90’s are longgggg gone.

Such an infuriating game. Playing in a freaking monsoon with a lead. NE defenders dropped 2-3 maybe interceptions and !@#$##$#@!$!@#$ Yost just kept calling passing plays for a hurt QB hobbling around on 1 good leg. That loss was on the coaching staff.
