Maybe but are they willing to do that? That’s the bigger question. And I’d stay away from house based on how the LSU players reacted once he was let go.

Another vote for Leonhard. In fact, I'll pledge the first fifty dollars toward his salary.

Do you understand an analyst? This person will not be on the field coaching. It will be communication with the coaches. Pay a little money to get on to get some information. That is all. No way I would get them on for on the field job.

I think the author didn’t have another option. His SDS and Muschamp aren’t legitimate options.

I would guess it will be Smith or someone not on that list with Smith slightly more likely based on how Drink hires.

I would say Smith is HIGHLY unlikely. Drink didn’t promote Hamdan when he had the chance. He went outside. He went outside for Wilks. The only reason Baker got the job was timing.

Buddy, I understand what analyst means, they still will have to interact with players at practice. I just don’t feel comfortable with House at any capacity after the reaction from the players once he got let go.

For Mizzou to truly make it known to the country that Mizzou is here to play with the big boys, we have to go make a splash hire.

Yeah, the days of penny pinching have to be over.

Just spit balling

Greg Gasprato-Troy

He was at App St as DC and S so natural connection there and there’s really good production there as well.

Jim Leonard,

We don’t have to do anything other than let Drinkwitz hire who he thinks will be the best person to lead our defense.

Agreed, we have to trust Drink to make the right call here. The preseason expectations going into next season may be the highest in program history. If Drink thinks that continuity and promoting from within is the right move, I'll support that 100%. If he wants an external hire I'll get excited about that too. It's a great time to be a Missouri Tiger fan

Did you get excited over the franklin hire? What about the Wilks hire?

We have the money to go out and get someone proven. There's nothing wrong with aiming a bit higher than smith.

Bobby Boucher. Baker blitzed all the time and Boucher is a pressure defense guy.

Yep, I agree and I’m also hearing from LSU pundits that Peoples is going with baker. So another position coach we will have to fill.

I think it will be Leonhard. He coached 3 star talent to the top 10.

Just guessing.

We don't need to make it know to anybody.
If coaches are too stupid to understand we made a coordinator a top 5 salary recipient, splashing cash around won't wake them up.
Players are already getting good NIL to come here.
As long as Drink reasonably gets what he asks for.

I would think it is good business to put clauses in contracts that the buyout goes up for each extra coach that goes to the same school a coordinator left for. Same for players portalling to the same destination or changing commitments.
Mizzou has to be careful here: Mizzou is a young, healthy challenger to the leaders of the pack, and they will try to put us down before we can ascend to their level.
