The pretty boring response of I'll wait and see. BO has yet to beat a bowl eligible team if I remember correctly. That would mean Purdue, Memphis and Wyoming are all losses in the OOC. If pushed, I'd say 6 wins and a bowl. I don't see more than 4 conference wins and we'll lose 1 or 2 OOC games.

That's not what that means at all.

That has zero bearing on this year.

8 wins is the floor for the staff IMO.

Arkansas, UT and UF have line issues. UK is replacing their top 2 QBs, 4 WRs, and 2 starters on the Oline. Vandy is Vandy. All four of those teams have more questions than MU does on either side of the ball. Those teams and the non con get them 8 wins.

The SC game sandwiched between UGA and Bama is difference maker. Boom was 5 plays ahead of Heupel in the Big 12 and it was more of the same the last two years. In the 5 games they coached against each other, Boom's defense picked the ball off 8 times. An expanded route tree and play action built off more than outside zone will give SC more to prepare for. I think it will be one of the better conference games of the year.

Couldn’t say but the O should keep us in the game with a shot at winning against everyone but Bama and maybe uGA.

This is a home game for Bama, and they are far superior to Mizzou across the board. Odom vs Saban? Tell me how this won't be a blowout?

I know, I'll probably be there.

Across the board? Yeah, no

They're superior to us in depth but then again they're superior to most teams with their depth.

My opinion and I could definitely be wrong. I believe our 'O' is legit nationally.

Come on man, this is Bama, of course they are superior to us across the board. This game is like midseason so Saban will have any kinks with new starters already worked out. We really don't know what Dooley will bring to the table, so it's hard to say how legit this offense will be. Let's say it is legit, they will steamroll our defense and it will get ugly. This won't be just a loss, we getting curb stomped. We can still max at 7 wins which is about as far as Odom can take us.

I don't think the final score will reflect how well Mizzou plays the game against Bama. Bama's depth will allow them to pull away late, but i think our offense and defensive front 4 keep it a game for 3 quarters.

Who is pumping sunshine? I picked us to go 7-5 in this very thread.

It's just goofy to say shite like "Odom can only lead us to 7 wins" He did that in yr 2. I also guarantee you were or would have been saying the same things in the beginning of Pinkel's era.

Come on man, you're well known on the board to be the resident sunshine pumper, no offense intended. You may think it's "goofy" to say that, but he hasn't shown me yet to be anything more than a middle of the road coach. I don't think I need to go into the reasons why do I? I hope he proves me wrong, I really do. I would much rather eat crow with a 10 win season and beyond than how I think this Odom experiment will ultimately end.

The funny thing is, that as a Mizzou fan, all you have to do to pump sunshine is not wallow in an eternal pit of misery.

Again, I literally ITT picked us to finish 7-5. If that's not pumping sunshine...

Yes, saying a coach who won 7 games in yr 2 of a rebuild has a ceiling of 7 wins IS goofy. It's not really opinion. That's just uber pessimistic, woe is me nonsense.

I don't know how Odom will end up. He's a good coach. He knows football, and he's a tough minded blue collar guy. This job requires more steak than sizzle. He's the type of coach that can succeed here, but this is a tough job. Maybe tougher now than it's ever been considering the competition we now face and fan support that is completely arse.

Sunshine pumping or no, as long as he's moving in the right direction he'll have my support. A lot of Mizzou fans simply don't like him personally (which is silly) and allow that to guide their opinions on the direction of the program.

A lot of other SEC coaches are similar with the media, the difference is that BO hasn’t won big yet.

Forming an opinion vicariously doesn't lend itself to much accuracy.

I don’t know him personally. My opinion is that he’s punching above his weight in the areas of management and vision-casting. He’s a director-level talent who has been promoted to CEO.
