To be honest if the defense hasn't turned the corner by next year it probably isn't going to. Which means it's time to drop Odom.

Vanderbilt played Norte Dame until the 4th. Get over yourselves.

Hey, I get it. BO may be mediocre, but at least he's cheap. And surely it is not realistic of MU to ever expect better.
In this new era, to demand and expect excellence is cruel and demeaning. To try and mean well is all one can ask.

Or Acy and the sophomore DBs improve with another year of experience. Somebody emerges as a pass rusher and the defense takes another steady step forward. Like they did from last season to this season.

Yup, we should definitely fire a guy who has improved every single year. I mean, he’s mediocre after all. Lady in my section said so!!!
We can’t afford to let a coach develop. This is Mizzou. Championship or bust!

I don't really think his in game coaching or defense has improved. The only thing that has improved really is Gary Pinkel's players.

Odom has had 3 years to find Lock's replacement and I don't see him on the roster.
The Pass defense has actually regressed every year under Odom and is now somewhere in the 100s. He's basically used the same guys the last 2 years, shouldn't they have improved by now?
Odom's in game coaching is awful, there's really no defending it, going for 2 in the 3rd quarter could have cost this team the game.

One way or another, next year will tell.
For now, the Tenner game is going to be interesting. Hopefully not in the Chinese Curse sense of the word.

S&P+ says the pass defense has steadily improved. That’s with replacing both starting safetys and ends from last season.
1 senior gets snaps on the back end.

I don't really care what S&P says, Mizzou is 114th in passing yards against this season. 119th in passing yards allowed per game at 280.
But spin it however you want man.

Good god you’re an insufferable little pissant.

That’s one thing I hate is going for 2 point conversions with so much time in the 3rd quarter in a high scoring game when both teams will have numerous possessions left. If it’s the 4th quarter and you will only have 1-2 possessions left, then I get it.

They gave up 7 points in the second half today. Defense played well in the second half.

The players aren’t there. We’ll miss Lee, Hall, Palmore and Beckner tremendously. The back end could take a big step forward and we could still end up the same (or slightly worse overall) on defense.

Do you watch our back up QBs often....? Or any teams in the country? Just curious as that’s the dumbest argument I’ve ever heard.

Scoring defense was good in the second half. There were still huge breakdowns.
