Fire Odumb from your mobile Sterk. Team doesn’t give a shite anymore. Two mindnumbing losses have clearly tanked an easy scheduled season.

Barry is most definitely losing to Tenner at this rate. That’s how bad they are.

Hell I ain't feeling good about the Arky game either any more.

The really shite thing is even if Sterk wanted to make a change, there is no one available to replace him.

SEMO would probably like another crack at us.

We will lose to Tennessee.
We might lose to Arkansas.

What is your reason for this?
If Kansas can get Les Miles and are improving each week. Also Lovie Smith at Illinois. You saying no one good want to go to Missouri from a lower level school or from a powerhouse school that are currently assistant there?

One week a third string QB beats us the next week probably the 4th or 5th string QB beats us. Arkansas will probably have to go to the best Frat Intermural QB on campus but they will probably win.
I am waiting to hear that MU coaches "Have no tape on these guys" as an excuse.

Kansass and Illannoy are not in the SEC. Big difference in terms of opportunity to succeed.
And no expectations at all when you are talking schools like Kansas.

Fleck, Leach and Drinkwitz would all come here. Just takes money. And THAT is the problem. You cannot compete in the SEC on the cheap. Sterk knows this, but can he get the board to pony up.
I'd love to have Fleck. Can build something from nothing, and motivate to beat hell.

Fleck is at 3.7 million this year (don't know about incentives/bonuses). Says coaching a big 10 team has been his life-long dream.
It'd take a ton of $$ to turn him.

Fleck is a cheesier version of Butch Jones.
Dear god no

solid analysis. well done. but try to keep the technical stuff to a minimum

I don't why Fleck would make a lateral move here to start over, and he's a big 10 guy, but he'd be a great hire for the job opening that does not exist
might be able to get his mentor Schiano.

It is not guaranty that any coach that coaches at Missouri will do better than Barry Odom. Look around Texas? Now they are just another Big 12 team that is not doing more with 4 and 5 stars players. Beating UGA, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, Auburn, and Alabama are loaded with 4 and 5 stars players. That is the first key to get 4 and 5 stars players and to be able to coach them to their ability. I am not sure who will be the right fit for Missouri that will improve recruiting but not on the level of those powerhouse teams and be able to play at the level of those powerhouse teams. You cannot take a coach who is undefeated right now and say that coach can do the same at Missouri. I am sure some are dreaming to get one of the best coaches out there to come to Missouri! Come on! Why have Missouri did that all those years? Some called it being realistic!

Arkansas has thrown big money at coaches the last 2 times. How has that worked out for them?
It takes more than money to be attractive to coaches that could actually do something. They have to see a path to success. They have to see opportunity. There is a lot wider path to success in any conference outside the SEC.
Fleck would not be doing what he's doing at Minny if he was in the SEC.
Leach pulls the occasional big upset and loses some to teams he should beat, but overall produces a good team year after year. Is that a big jump from what MU already is?
Mizzou would need to find the next Mark Stoops out there to make a coaching change worth it.
I don't know if they would pay for a Mark Stoops-level coach. And if they did, would they give him 3-4, maybe 5 years, to get things going?
IMO, Walters and Dooley both needed to show they could get their sides of the ball to show up and beat good competition. They needed to take the next step. Both have failed. If anything, the offense has gone the wrong way with so many players with big expectations regressing instead - Simms, Rountree, Al O, Parker.
I bring the coordinators up, because I don't think Odom will get the pink slip. One or both of the coordinators need to. They have had their chance and fallen short.

People get too caught up in names with regards to coaches. It has to be the right fit between a school and a coach to be successful. Very few coaches can succeed at any school they want. These days I think there are only 2. Urban Meyer and Saban.
If you hire anyone outside of those two, no matter how great, there is a chance that coach is going to fail. It really does have to be a complementary relationship between the school and the coach. Sometimes the best coach available is not the best fit.

Today is the 3rd game I have watched Minnesota play. I was very curious how they would look playing a team that was more talented on paper. They are assignment sound and prepared for what the the opposing team is trying to do. Jones never put a team on the field that plays like this.
