Fleck is going to be the hot name now that they just beat PSU. But he better be careful. He needs to be at a school that the kids actually buy in to his "row the boat" schtick. If he goes to FSU and those egos, it ain't gonna work. I could see him taking over at Nebraska in a few years.

Leaving that division would be foolish provided Minnesota keeps paying to keep him. Giving up what he has built thus far to go to Lincoln would be a terrible decision.

Nebraska is going to dump truckloads of money on his front yard. Plus with NUs resources and history, it will be much easier to maintain a program. Minnesota will be on a 3-4 year cycle like Iowa, Purdue, Michigan State etc. But if he rebuilds Nebraska, they have what it needs to stay on top.

Nebraska has nothing going forward that Minnesota couldn’t have.

Besides 100 million dollars in their booster war chest. Unlimited funds for a recruiting budget and about to do another huge facility upgrade.
Yes they have been shite on the field, but when they get the right coach, they have the money to rebuild.

Thing is, there are more coach's like that out there. Smart motivators that coach sound assignments, discipline, and on field tactics. They can be found at Mid Tier P5 schools, G5 Schools, and even FCS schools.
It takes research, video and money to find them. It takes money to pay them. And keep them. It does not take a cheap short cut to a "true son".
Minnesota did all these things, and found Fleck. Knowing he had the skills needed, they gave him time. And now they just gave him a 7 year extension.

Just get a guy that teach some fricking fundamentals. This dumbass team doesn’t have a single grain of that in their system. At all. Just surround him with a good staff.
Good fundamentals guy. Sound coordinators. I can handle losing. Can’t handle retarded losing like Barry.
