I think we need to make it a shootout and get Beck to make some costly mistakes.

I have said this from the beginning. UGA is not the challenge, UT is.

Tied 27-27 in regulation.

42-40 MIZ with a 2OT goal line stand on the two point conversion.

Think this was close to the 2013 score. We're due.

my guess is Tenner has curb stomped us the last 2 years and at least have competed vs UGA, otherwise makes zero sense. Frankly I think the rest of this thread all picking Mizzou is pure homerism. My guess is a game like LSU but lower scoring.

I was going to include that in my post but figured I'd wait until the reply. That does seem to make the most sense on the face of it, but as anyone can see this is not nearly the same UT team of the last 2 years. Hooker/Hyatt/Mccoy not leading things has had a massive difference on their success, not to mention that when you have a funky offense it eventaully gets figured out as time goes on. UGA has better players and better coaches than UT, along with yall playing UT at home and us on the road.

Eh I don't think it's that outlandish. I said the same thing on the SECR (so I'm not just pandering to the home crowd here) but I am shocked that missouri is not getting more national pub than they are. If preseason rankings didn't exist and the first rankings came out yesterday Missouri would have to be somewhere around 10th IMO. This is a damn good team that for some reason nobody is talkign about. I am more concerend abotu this game than I am wiht UF or ole miss, and about on par with UT.

I would disagree. Our record is nice but we have only been somewhat "impressive" against UK and USC (our last two games) and those are two bad teams...well, one bad team and one average team. Regardless, we haven't really looked the part and have just won ugly.

UGA - 41

Mizzou - 23

We’ve yet to roll out a true stinker of a game this year. We will get it out of the way finally.

I agree it is not outlandish to think Mizzou could win. It would still be an upset though. I just have a feeling UGA will lose 1 before Atlanta and I think Mizzou has the best shot. I would still be shocked though if it happened.

We've got a week to heal and gameplan. Hopefully Florida will give Georgia somewhat of a challenge and their starters have to play all game. Mizzou should have beaten UGA last season, and we have a significantly better team this year while UGA has gotten worse.

True they won't be overlooking us this year and it's a road game, but a lot of factors are aligning to give Mizzou the chance to pull off this upset. I like Burden to have a true breakout game where he becomes a household name.

UGA is a great program but Mizzou has never had an issue getting up for the game. Even when UGA kills us, we play hard. And alot of the games are close.

But UT is a game where are heads aren't there. We check out and embarrass ourselves.

Classy post.
As a Georgia fan, how much do you think Kirby will have his team aware that they came out flat last year? I don't think Kirby would care to prove it was a fluke game on Mizzou's part, so much as he will have his team ready to play hard at the start and not allow a repeat where a 4Q comeback is needed.

Georgia isn’t the offensive juggernaut of the recent past. But they’re fine. They’re at home. They’ve got a better coach than us. Not for nothing, I think they come into this game juiced up.

I don’t think we’re in the national title level conversation yet. If we won this game, we would start moving towards that.

I think the game is winnable if we got about three bounces to go our way. But we will need some stars to align.

We should give them a challenge.

My rose coloured glasses say MU 30 - UGA 27.

It can happen, MU is good and UGA isn't the rock wall they were last year.

Go Tigers!!

eeehhhh I don't really know if that's going to play much of a factor here. Sure it'll get mentioned in practice and everyone will be aware that that was our closest game last year but I'm not sure how much relevance it really has once the ball kicks off.

I also wouldn't fully agree that we "came out flat" as that diminishes the play of missouri. As someone who obviously saw all 15 games we played, yes I'd agree things looked a little "off" but I don't think it's because we were sleep walking necesesarily. Missouri matched us early and we didn't really respond all that well to it then momentum takes over big time.
