Sterling Webb will play this year. That helps.

Thats 20 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and 6 QB hurries back on the roster.

This will be a big deal later in the season when depth at the LOS gets tested.

Will that give Drinkwtz another win or two for the season?

Sure, let's also have Dennis Gates try him out at PG once football season is over.

If the pass rush moves are there, he is going to have a monster year.

Early
My guess at the top 6:
Smith
Kitchen
Hopkins
Morgan
Jones
Bryant
I'm predicting the first four I listed will be the top four.

This guy is a damn good coach. My gut is telling me his defense is going to exceed expectations because of the front 7 he is going to field. Getting Webb back checks a big box in production and leadership IMO.

Drink is a good recruiter. He generally hires good coaches. If he could just grow a set . . .

Drink/Mizzou is like every other team on the edge of breaking through. You need that QB who comes alive at the right time. Ole Miss is proof. They had no idea Chambliss was going to be so good. Hell, Simmons won the starting job over him as a Freshman. But when they needed Chambliss, he excelled. If Simmons plays at that level, this season gets interesting really fast. The Ole Miss game will be huge.

Simmons is talented. My concern is Drink and his conservative nature, predictable offense at times. Hopefully OC will have autonomy. We’ve had a lot of talent on offense, but not sure Chase Daniel himself could overcome some of the play calling.

A pass over the middle on a crossing route. Where have you been my lovely? And even to a tight end.

Having watched this Missouri offense for the last few Drink years ...

1. What's a crossing route?
2. Why didn't we just hand the ball off (or have Austin try to run for the end zone)?
