2:00 PM on 12/5 Cool Dave submits a PD story that is pretty much a barf and double dry heave of Karraker's Tweet. I'm not linking it because frick him and his click counts.
2:47 PM on 12/5 Gabe posts the following that is counter to both Karraker and Matter:
The only thing Gabe confirmed that is that Karraker is full of shite and Matter is a lemming.
Cusumano is blabbering his usual bullshite as well.

He needs to get here directly after the CCGs this weekend. That will give whoever it is a week and half before the December signing period to work with Haley, who has been out doing work the last 6 days.

I'm convinced they just throw names out from nowhere. If somehow they end up being correct, they earned their street cred. If they are wrong then it isn't on them, it was the "source" being wrong.

This is what went on when I lived in South Carolina during Lou Holtz's last year. I'm in no way saying Sterk is going to pull off a HBC type hire, but the guys at The State and the Post and Courier spent the better part of six weeks pissing and moaning about the AD and the guys being considered. When Spurrier was announced 4 days after the season, Mike McGee was suddenly a genius again.
