Prayers to ur momma man. We lost a close friend to cancer just this weekend. It's a tough battle but sounds like she's a fighter, good luck man.

As for Drinkwitz, I mean it's at least fitting since the fans can now have a drink at the stadium. I don't see this as any worse than Odom at all and we all get to have the gleeful optimism of potential upside. Wow...36 year old coach...ballsy move by Sterk, I won't say it wreaks of desperation, there is upside potential, but highly unlikely this was anywhere close to the top of Sterk's list.

FYI- Dan Devine was younger when came to Mizzou in 1958.

I'm all for an up and comer..I hope MIZ embraces the shite out of this guy. We are not stupid fans, we know what progress looks like...I don't think any of us are expecting natties any time soon, our expectations are not unrealistic.

We expect clean, competitive football...ups and downs are okay, but must be met with solid recruiting and a team that plays it's arse off. Sprinkle in an upset here or there and be in the thick of the east race 40-50% of five years. Make it compelling (don't lose the east by October 1st every year), and we will be there.

I would love more...but

Fairly concerned when I heard this hire. Mostly because I knew nothing about him. Pretty solid potential here though. Can he recruit in the SEC? Will find out. Just read up on Ted Roof though and that guys has a legit resume and has constructed some very real big time defenses. Pretty clear Drinkwitz knows what he is doing on offense from what he did at NC State. Also around the Boise ST program as well. My only issue is that numbers come a lot easier in those conferences. Whole different deal going up against SEC defenses.
