This question is getting more credibility by the day. Lot of smoke that Penn St. pulled their offer after the OU loss.

Penn St. just got turned down by another coach (BYU).
What is that, the 10th target that turned them down? I have heard some talking heads claim the number is up into the 20s. These coaches are obviously thinking "No thanks, I don't want a "NC or bust every year" job, especially in a conference with Ohio St.

With that kind of failure as signing day kept getting closer, I doubt a school backed away from an established coach that has shown SEC success.
Maybe they have just given up on signing day. I doubt it.

Josh Pate on Penn St. failure

Make you think the Drink to Penn St. was just smoke and mirrors. Wonder if it all came from Drink's agent?

Jimmy Sexton essentially black balled PSU with his clients because of how they handled Franklin. I dont think Drink was a legit candidate at any point.

I'd be 0% surprised if it was all from Drink's agent and I'd be 0% surprised if PSU pulled the offer after Drink embarrassed himself again.

Sorry but that is complete baloney. Sexton only goes for top $. He has no other principles or morals.

Drink is not a Sexton client. His agent is Clint Dowdle.

Then I guess Todd McShay is full of baloney.

The 1 question no one is asking about the PSU job is "how bad is their NIL plan right now?" Drink was attractive because of Mizzous NIL which is regarded as o e of the best models in the country. PSUs plan must be infantile to scare off candidates.

They have now lost 2 non Sexton candidates.

If Sexton can use PSU to get his coaches raises, he is going to do it. Seems like that is exactly what he is doing. Those coaches have no interest but that has nothing to do with Sexton.

Franklin raided their incoming class. They had 4 commits last I saw. They are going to lose a bunch of players off their two deep in the portal. The new coach is going to have throw a pile of cash at the portal just to field a team. Its a hard sell

Franklin flipped another recruit and PSU now has two total committed players in their 2026 class
