Looks like LSU is trying to poach him...thoughts?

If he signed, I would guess the buyout might be too much for LSU. $3M before they pay him a dollar?
ETA: his buyout is probably around $1.5M to $2M if he actually already signed. If he hasn’t, I would assume he’s gone.

If he wanted to entertain offers, he would have held off on signing. Unless he has a totally incompetent agent, which I doubt he does.

I would guess that total comp went up a minimum of $200k and more likely $300-400k.

Thats the media talking, my guess is they go after someone who will bring their whole staff. You dont clean house unless you have a whole staff prepared.

I could be wrong, but you have to believe LSU reached out prior to him signing the extension. Kelly just didn't wake up yesterday and decide to fire the whole defensive staff.

correct, there was definitely some back channel talks that probably happened. Wouldn't be surprised if this was the offer/school referenced in the post extension announcement media interview.

What I mean is any agent would have held him off signing with Mizzou in order to drive up the price if he were truly interested in going somewhere. LSU had to have sent out feelers, so the fact that he signed, means he had no interest.

Interesting he hasn’t come out with a statement since the rumors broke last night, but maybe he doesn’t want to dunk on LSU considering his ties to the program and area
