What could he do about it?
Notice how I post some relevant and interesting objective data and then you provide a flippant asshat post in reply? What does that serve?

I think / hope run sharing is the plan. Carroll seems more than able to share the load or step into the starter role, if necessary. I just hope they lean into setting the tone with the running game early and late to close out games.
I was able to watch the first game and immediately saw Thunder & Lightning potential with Carroll and Noel.

I agree with you. We really need them both to play well.

I'm feeling pretty good about this one. Not sure why, exactly, but I'm liking our chances.

I actually think Noel/Lacy are the better pair. Their explosiveness matches better which keeps things consistent for the OL. Schrader and his OL fell into a rhythm that the backup RB could not match. Noel and Lacy are a very good match. Now in the red zone, I would rather see Carroll than the empty backfield, planned QB run that the whole stadium knows is coming.

Lacy looks great other than the fumbling issues. I agree with whoever said that Lacy is probably done for the year other than blowouts because he has no ball security.

Lacy has big ball security problems and though he looked dynamic it was in garbage tume. Not sure why you are so down on Carroll?

Not down on Carroll. If he were the starter and received most of the carries, the run game would be more power based. But outside of the red zone, Noel matches better with the stretch zone system. Carroll doesn't have the twitch to be the same threat so defenses seem to be able to defend him better.
Lacy keeps the pressure on to deal explosive speed. Similar to the Pinkel running backs which were interchangeable.

Carroll looked very average vs BC and Vandy.

Carroll has seemed very slow out of the blocks every time he touches the ball and has less power than I thought he’d provide.

P5 second level defenders haven't had much of a problem defending him. He looked slow to the aiming point no matter what the call was.

aTm is a Havoc Forward defense and I like our running game against it. If Noel gets going early, they won't be able to turn the water off and their crowd will be out of the game.
Cook has to recognize the combo coverage aTm is going to throw at him. His #3 read on most plays is going to have the 4th or 5th best coverage option on him. There will be a lot of space on the seams for Norfleet or Harris to work in.
There's a possibility Batoon really opens his bag this week. Reed's #s vs the blitz are not good and Arkansas sacked him 3 times. The Dline has to maintain rushing lane integrity because Reed can ruin a game with his legs and the extra rushers have to get home. Batoon blitzed 15 times total the last two games vs mobile QBs. He has used Double A Gap, Under Smash, and a couple of Fire Zone concepts (Nickel and Closed Side) so far this year. If the run defense performs as expected, Reed is going to have to contend with a lot on 3rd down.

With Johnson likely out for this one, I've got a feeling we'll hear Josh Manning's name a time or two. I've noticed he's been in quite a bit on run plays in the red zone because of his blocking, which sets up beautifully for some play-action, and Manning is a red zone threat with his size.
Overall, I'm just confident that we are a better team. I think we will play just fine on the road and we will answer some questions for the doubters out there.

Manning is a handful for the average corner to manage in run support. He and Blood have an opportunity for more reps.
