They're favored. I haven't had the chance to see more than highlights for most of the season.
What's the blueprint to winning Saturday to keep this train rolling?

They are gonna come out of the blocks fast. They have great speed. We have a slow secondary, need to pressure their QB so he can't just sit and throw to open receivers.
We need to run the ball alot to control clock and keep their offense off the field. Trust Noel to carry the ball 99% of the carries just like Schrader last year. Don't waste drives with Carrol or Cook designed runs. High percentage throws, let the wrs get YAC. Stop trying to make Cook a "complete" QB. Use the athletes in the best WR room in the SEC.
Do not play for FGs. Do not trust the kicker in this environment.

Well said, and I 100% agree. That poor kicker could have a bad day out there if we rely on him to get points. It's going to be a wild environment and our boys need to be ready to go and go fast.

They had scares against Bowling Green and Arky. I know we haven’t impressed offensively but I’ll be pissed if we drop this game.
A reasonably efficient offensive performance should win this game.
BG’s TE put up 145 yards on Aggie. We should feed Norfleet early and often.

If we take care of the ball we should win this game by two scores. We have been sputtering on offense, so lean into the running game and be creative and get LB3 touches.
Agree with earlier comment about forcing Cook into the flow. Let’s realize what we have and work with it. If we do that, think we really have a chance to put some space between us and them at the end.

Missouri can run on aTm. The only decent oline they faced ran for went for 198 on them. They are going to create some negative plays but calling into their stunt and blitz tendencies with counter and split zone can let Noel hit the second level untouched

obvious as it sounds, cant turn the ball over. A&M DL can be pretty disruptive but the defense has holes. tackling, run fits, man coverage have all been inconsistent at times.
on defense, you have to stop their run game. stack the box, make WRs win man coverage (weak link of offense). contain reed in the pocket and make him beat you with his arm.
dont do either of those 2 things, the game could go either way.

Batoon's defensive plan for the last two games should be the one being used this weekend. Missouri forced 6 punts last week but only scored 10 pts on those possession changes. They scored 3 points after 4 punts vs BC. That has to change.

Maybe I missed something but which one is that going to be? BC was primarily 3-man rush with pocket discipline and a spy. Vandy we brought a LOT more pressure and 4-5+ rushers.
I thought the BC defense was more effective but they were also 2 different QBs.

It really will come down to QB for Aggies.
If it's Weigman, less concern for QB run. If it's the running QB (likely as this has given Mizzou fits in last two games), make him beat you with the pass.
But to Navys point, the offense has to score more points after defensive stops. 3 missed FGs made Vandy game closer than it should have been but get 2 TDs instead of FG tries and mizzou wins going away.
It's all down to the offense and the QB execution and play calling (especially the red zone)

at least it appears we are improving in the penalty area.

Here's what you missed:
Out of 54 defensive snaps vs BC, Batoon deployed a 4 man front on 37 of them. They ran a double eagle front on 11 plays and lined up in a 3 man front on 6 plays. BC converted on 4 of those 6 plays in the 3 man front. The controlled 4 man rush was the most successful front. Batoon blitzed on 6 snaps.
Batoon blitzed on 9 of 59 defensive snaps vs Vandy. 15% isn't a high blitz rate. Pavia punished them when they did blitz. All of his big running plays came off the blitz.
Batoon went with a double eagle front on 9 plays as well but that isn't considered a pressure package as the safeties become the outside run force.
The rest was a 4 man base rush with no stunts. They climb the pocket with the DEs controlling depth. This was their most successful formation vs Vandy.

Just give Brady a simple game-plan and a heavy dose of Noel.

I'm not sure Noel is a guy who can carry 25+ times a game. I think we need Carrol to be very productive, too.

That left side of the line isn't as fluid in stretch zone as last year. Don't get me wrong...they are very good, but last year was phenomenal. So Noel's explosiveness is really needed. Noel was also a workhorse at App State, so I think he holds up.

That would be great if he can. He isn't a big back and this is the sec but he is an electric runner. Very rarely do backs get all the carries in this league and get through injury free.

Badie averaged 22 carries a game using late suddenness to avoid big hits. Noel has those kind of feet and doesn't get squared up on very often. He is a little light on his feet but if the hole is there he hits it.

Number 11 for tamu really stands out to me. He looks better than any D lineman we have. They also have two other guys on the D line that are good. If we block those guys and don’t let them force turnovers against Cook then we should win.

To me, this is another example like Cody last year as to why even 1 good RB isn't enough if we want to win the SEC.
2021 with Badie's great year we were 49th in RYPG and 28th in YPC.
2023 with Cody, we were 49th in RYPG and 49th in YPC.
I believe that ideally, we need to be in the top 20 range in team rushing to have a good shot at the next level. We have not been able to do it leaning on one RB. Hence, I think we REALLY need a 2nd RB to really have this offense bust out in a big way.
