Odom is a 2star recruiter. That'll work at UNLV. Won't work here. If he's smart he'll stay there. But he's not and will not.

Nuke nails it as usual. Horn skewed the QB position.

I actually hope we get a UNLV vs Mizzou bowl game. Unfinished business on both sides, our fanbase can be fans of both coaches. I don't think Mizzou would be favored in the game either.

How so? The numbers are the numbers. It isn't like I'm making an opinion here. This doesn't even touch things like Drink benefiting from the easiest schedule in years.

It would be an interesting line. Considering UNLV is so run heavy I think it would be a very slanted matchup in our favor but you just never know.

What numbers are you shitting out to prove this? Sure as hell isn’t recruiting. Or SEC success. Or being a whiny bitch. Or ranking recruiting to ridiculous levels. Or wasting Lock.

Tell me what exactly? Because Odom’s flat affect personality doesn’t get us these stadium upgrades either.

No, he’s not. Don’t be retarded for retardedness sake.

We won more games this year than Odom ever did and you’re acting like this season was a huge letdown. It wasn’t.

Get outside and breathe in some fresh air.

You are incorrect. The season was not a success but I don't think it is a failure.

If you look when the comment was made we were .500 in sec play.

Drink is barely above .500 and that is about what Odom was. And all the close wins for drink could have easily put him behind Odom.

Hopefully drink can get a big win under his belt to separate himself.

Eli has had to spend the first few years purging the pathetic talent that Odom put together.

43rd
42nd
43rd
38fh

Eli also never lost to:

Middle Tennessee
Purdue at home
Wyoming

If Eli had Lock instead of Cook, his record is likely better. QB has been his biggest downfall.

Look, I’m not a fan of Drink’s gameday coaching, but he did something that HCGP never did which was win a major new year’s bowl game.

He is still a work in progress. Always will be and should be.

Game day management will get better.

Drink brings in players - that's why he gets time to figure out game day.

And, here we are bitching about not winning enough at 9-3. That's the major change.

Still hoping for a Natty in my lifetime! Make it so Drink!

Odom's got his 3 star recruits ranked higher than us and his back-up qb playing decent. I'm just saying, it's not as clear cut as you guys think. I like both but they are very different in their approach, but the results will be similar. They are both very good coaches, not elite, and definitely not bad.

Odom got UNBELIEVABLY lucky with his OC who will be gone really soon for a HC gig. If Odom had that kind of luck at Mizzou with his OC he would still be here seriously.

Odom had Heupel as an OC and an NFL QB (Drew Lock) and peaked at 8-5. He left something to be desired, although I don't think he's a bad coach. Just pointing out I think he could have achieved more than he did.

And UNLV loses ugly. Don't ever want to hear Cement Heads name here again.
