I got to say defensive line play edges out kick off coverage right now.

At the start of the year I thought DL was our second strongest position group. I think it is easily in last place now.

Gotta say special teams. I fear a kickoff return TD or missed field goal/PAT every single time. But completely agree with the DL statements.

Same here. I'm wondering if we should give Quay a shot at starting.

I'm not sure why him, PJ, or Virgis aren't starting over Charrington.

Virges was starting and then played bad/got beat out by Cherrington. Not sure what's up with PJ. We put Quay in with our first team for a few drives at the end of the 4th.

Kick-off coverage, DL and OL.

Their minds. They cannot begin to think they're going to waltz in and beat sec teams with no effort. They must stay hungry and focused. The rest will take care of itself.

Our OL has been doing pretty good especially in pass protection.

Quay looked to make a difference towards the end.

The D-Lind looked a TON better when Wilson stopped rotating players in the 4th. He has been trying to find a match to play opposite of Boyd, in the 4th it appears he said frick it, went all in, and put Quay in. Quay played the remainder of the game and we started getting pressure without sacrificing linebackers. It was probably the defining point of the game IMO, with exception of Bumps 3rd down catch on the West sideline possibly.

Russell is still taking far too many hits in my opinion.

Russell gets hit way too much not because of the OL, but because he holds the ball way too long looking for the big play. He's had so much time in the pocket it's borderline ridiculous. Our OL is really good when it comes to pass blocking.

Whatever we lose during halftime worries me.

We need to be uber-agressive in the third qtr. for the rest of the year.

This. We always seem to come out lackluster in the second half. If and a big if we are able to jump out on Bama, we can't play like that come the 3rd quarter, they will rip us a new one.

What's the word on Tobias. We really need him for four quarters against Bama.

I think he is good. I doubt he gets any PT against MTSU though.
