re: Selling/Buying a house in this market

Posted by stoms on 5/25/21 at 10:19 am
I really liked my house but was able to make a bundle on selling and rolling that money to in a house we could stay in forever. Selling your house will be the easy part. It's having the next move lined up. If you're making a contingency offer you'll need to move quick and you'll likely have less negotiating leverage but you don't have much of that in this market anyway. If you can swing a move that benefits your family and makes sense, do it.

We haven't even scratched the surface of a parabolic blow-off top volume.

Side note, Flr token is trading at 27 cents on Bitrue. Not going to count my chickens before they hatch but that would be a nice consolation prize for XRP taking a dump. I converted mine to ETH and that turned out to be the best thing I've ever done. If this Flr makes a nice run I just might not tell me wife about it and buy a boat

Id you mean the next crypto to hit comparable BTC numbers, it's ETH. Their market cap and chart is almost identical to BTC pre 2017 run.

There are several coins that will get hot and be worth swinging but like another poster said, go back and look at the big earners from the previous bull cycles. The 2013 coins are unrecognizable outside of BTC. Several have left since the 2017 cycle.

Anybody looked in to storj? I've been looking at finding some long term holds in the decentralized cloud hosting game and they look like a decent project. It's on Kraken but not sure where else. My bags are packed for the current bull cycle but that's one I'm going to watch. With everything going on in the news currently, I'd think there will be a strong need for that type of technology.

My "light money on fire" alt ETN is starting to pump (60ish % today). On Monday they started advertising on TV in the US and advertising on FB. First crypto to make tv ads in the US. Plus launched in 9 new African countries. Got in at .0045

fingers crossed

Ripple Sued by Tetragon

Holy shite this gets worse and worse. Tetragon going for the jugular. Add that to XRP getting removed from trading almost everywhere in the US over the next 2 weeks.

I just do not understand the XRP army acting like it's a good idea to ride this into the ground. I've more than doubled my portfolio by converting all my XRP to ETH after the SEC news. The more I see out of ripple execs being shady, lawsuits piling up, and ripple fan boys also doubling as Q anons, I just don't see myself buying back in unless it hits 5 cents...And it might.

Was wild to watch. I got in at .26. Not too long after it shot to .42 then fell al the way back down

I had Loopring at 11 cents in November and sold it randomly for low 20s just because I kept getting notifications it going up 10%. I don't know what the deal with that coin is but when everything else was barley moving in the fall it would have these wild 10-20% swings all the time. That's your bear market day trading coin.

They are being delisted on every US exchange and the case being brought is stronger the more you look at it. There really isn’t a place for them, nobody is going to sell them as a security. Not getting completely out of XRP is reckless at this point. Dealing with shitcoins can have serious consequences.

To be fair coinbase just suspended, not delisting. And I think that's what you'll see several other CRC exchanges do as well.

I think there are plenty of scenarios where the execs who sold will have to pay a shite ton of money and some kind of deal to be made on the escrow. SEC lawsuits do not mean automatic company death. I think what we are seeing is a bunch of posturing by Garlinghouse and Ripple and behind the scenes they are likely begging for a resolution.

Are you guys enjoying the show yet! At 16 cents I will buy 3,000 more$ worth of XRP

No reason to jump at that price. Just be patient. OkCoin suspending on Jan 4. Coinbase on the 19th. Kraken, Grayscale, Genesis, and everybody else on the CRC is going to suspend. By the last week on January you should have your bottom price. My target is 10 cents, maybe less. Buy on a foreign exchange.

I think ultimately XRP comes out of this ok longterm and I'll use the mass exodus in the US as a buying opportunity but this riding the boat to the bottom of the ocean by all the hardcore XRP army is just wild to watch... and I like XRP.

I converted all my XRP to ETH about 5 days ago for 10.2 ETH. My only regret is I didn't do that as soon as Garlinghouse announced the lawsuit. Rookie move. I loved the potential of XRP solely from a technical standpoint for this bullrun. I don't care what people say about use case, this is still another spec run. I'll sleep much better knowing my biggest holding is now safe and I still have several small alt coin bags to ride. And who knows, maybe I buy back in to xrp on a foreign exchange when its 5 cents

I'm about to spend about $100 on ENT. Might be burning money on fire but it's an interesting project out of England. Anybody else read up on it?

It had a gap to close down to .49ish. It will continue to range if it bounces off that support like it looks like it has. Look out if it goes above .72

Jesus people are gonna get destroyed with taxes.

For example, say you received 1 Spark token on December 12, 2020. On this day it’s worth $1. However, you don’t get any control over the coin until January 1, 2021. On this date, 1 Spark token is worth $3. January 1st is the day you gain dominion and control of the asset. Therefore, you would have to report $3 of ordinary income in 2021 taxes. If you were to sell this in February for $5, you would have a capital gain of $2 ($5 – $3)

The pre-market trading is .0013, not $1 or $3. That's ridiculous to even write. I don't see any way that's a significant tax hit to anyone.

Not in relation to xlm but do you think the bull market in crypto is done? This halving cycle was may 2020. The 1st run in 2013 with that cycle was 300+ days. The 2nd in 2017 was 500+ days. The prices generally grew for that long with a parabolic move to signal the end. If it's done this is the shortest one there has ever been with the smallest parabolic move upward.

The regular coinbase crashes have me wanting to switch. I’ve been looking at binance and kraken. Wouldn’t hurt getting in on the spark drop either.

We’ve seen the pumps up to a free airdrop before. the crash is going to be epic

Is that the only reason or is the whole market starting a bull cycle? I think there will be some sell off after the air drop but not a crash. Coinbase isn’t even participating. Only certain wallets abs spark has specifically been given no monetary value.

I watched the volume on XRP go up all day from 2.7B to now 3.8B. It’s up 6% today. All this as btc hit the .786 and went sideways. I know everybody shits on Mike because of his posting style (lol) but I think there is some signs for optimism with XRP.

Anybody else hold any loopring? Went up 50% today. I sold and I’ll re-enter when it goes back down. I’ve held a very small amount for a few months now and it’s volatile as hell.

This. I’ve found that the clientele is a little better at The Palace due to no cigs. If you’re hanging out all day at the sports bar at the book I like this one.
