Defense played hard, 3rd down defense sucked for the most part but we got enough stops when needed

DJ Lagway shows promise. Has a long way to go but he seems like he has heart and talent

Ideally we would get a real time HC to coach him but he might like Billy

Idk if keeping Billy longer to keep Lagway is the way to go, but I guess we can worry about that down the road and enjoy the nice win over lsu for the meantime

Great win, let’s see if the Gators can build on it. At the end of the day we all just want to see progress and eventually compete for championships again.

Can't complain...Lagway definitely was has skill but still needs to grow. Hats off to the team and go Gators.

Stout fourth quarter. Finishing games strong. That is some amazing stuff right there. Momentum!

Yep. I'll take the Ws when they come. Still not sure if Napier is the guy but the team plays hard for him.

Results. Beat Ole Miss.

It was a big win for Billy, but it’s year 3. The training wheels are completely off at this point. If I hear “but they play hard for Billy” again, I’m going to lose it.

Although, it’s crazy that LSU is in year 3 and the team acts like they do and it looks like their team couldn’t care less about “playing hard” for BK.

There’s something to the culture at Florida. But results take all precedent.

9 wins is a minimum next year.

Most definitely. Anything less than 9 and we need to have some serious conversations moving forward.

With basically the same schedule as this year and not knowing who’s staying or going? Let’s pump the brakes for a little bit.

Not saying it's definitely going to happen. Just saying it's a fair expectation for year 4 at Florida. If you can't win 9 games by your 4th year, then what are we really doing?

Should just cut bait if the expectation next year is "improvement".

I think 9 wins is a reasonable baseline to set for next year.

SEC schedule will still be brutal. But hopefully we won't have an issue with USF like Miami, and FSU is falling apart.

Whether we're a true playoff contender will probably depend on how the portal shakes out, but Billy should have a pretty easy time getting talent to play with Lagway.

Im not worried about next year.
Im worried about blowing out FSU on Saturday!!!!

I hope Billy tries to score 50 on them and doesn't let up. If you put the backups in let them run the offense aggressively and try to score everything a Gator touches the football
I hope we beat them 65 to 10

We have the exact same SEC schedule next year flipped:

@ Ole Miss
@ Texas A&M
@ Kentucky
@ LSU
vs. Mississippi State
vs. Georgia
vs. Tennessee
vs. Texas

Then

vs. USF
vs. FAMU
@ Miami
vs. FSU

8 wins should be the floor with what we have returning. The 3 toughest games right now based on what other teams have and the situation/road environment are: @ A&M, @ Miami, and vs. Georgia.

8-4 minimum next year, but honestly 9-3 or better SHOULD be the expectation.

Miami without cam Ward

I find it hard to believe they’ll upgrade from him or even find someone of the same caliber

They’ll still be tough because they recruit very well

improvement this year was in terms of effort and effectiveness on the field, which led to some improvement in the W-L column (by 1 game compared to 2023)

Next year it’s all about winning
