So Rashada is represented by 2 guys that are just out of college in the last couple of years. Between that and his father's comments I can see why we are probably in the situation we are in. I also don't put in past some people connected to the Gator Guard that aren't the ones writing the big checks half a** promising things they didn't assure was guaranteed.

I am about at the point where I think we should just tell him and that agency they can go pound sand. If he doesn't come here and Miami doesn't want to take him any longer he will probably end up having to take 500k a season from some PAC 12 school not named USC. It's bad for Coach Napier though and might seal his fate after 2024.

If the university is really separate from the NIL from a legal stand point and has no standing with in it, I wonder what the ramifications s are if the release Rashada and say “good luck with the Gator Collective/Gator Guard.” And then mic drop as the walk out the door.

Walker Howard is from Lafayette Played high school ball there was very highly recruited last year was a top 40 rated player.

Napier I'm sure knows him and watched him play several times when he was at ULL.

Anyone think we can get him and tell Reshada to take the train!!!!

Josh Pate come out and said it’s basically this:

The Rashadas want to be Gators.
The Rashadas aren’t asking for more money.
A certain $$$ amount was promised and can’t be fulfilled.
What would you do if you were promised a certain amount of money for a job and when you showed up, the employer said he couldn’t pay it?

That’s the situation we’re in supposedly. The GC/GG should just pay it, and chalk it up as a lesson learned.

If true, I can't imagine it getting much worse. If I'm a rival coach I'm telling this story at every stop on the recruiting trail.

I would have to know the true deal with all this. The kid better think hard on this if he is being offered a good deal and doesn't have a backup in place. Someone verbally offering him something they didn't have the right to do would just be tough luck if that happened and they didn't do their due diligence. I think he ends up with quite a bit less than the 1.5 million a year or whatever the real offer is now from another team if he keeps this mess up. Not sure Miami will take him now.

Oh, that is much worse. Brian Kelly is flipping LSU overnight. We can’t make mistakes if we are trying to do this the right way. GC or whoever brokered the deal needs to sell their house or take out a loan.

This will sink the entire recruiting department if we don’t pull this off.

He doesn't know the facts with Rashada but he does have a point about our big boosters being cheap in the portal etc.

i would say the only ones "in the know" are the 247 guys since they're the only ones that are confirmed to have talked to his parents. Blake Alderman being one of them, and I highly doubt Steve Wilfong and Josh Pate aren't privy to what Blake knows.

I doubt 247 knows anything other than Rashada is fighting for more than what the big boosters themselves are actually offering in crunch time. If he doesn't sign most of the true story will probably slowly start coming out. With his father and his reps I hope he ends up taking half or less of what is being offered to him at this point at his eventual school. Starting to think Miami doesn't even want to sign him anymore.
