I doubt 247 knows anything other than Rashada is fighting for more than what the big boosters themselves are actually offering in crunch time.

this has already been debunked.

Pate actually confirmed it via his "sources" at Swamp247, i.e. Blake Alderman and Jacob Rudner are his sources. Folks that have actually verbally communicated with Jaden's father.

If you want to blame someone for this, blame the UAA (a separate entity of the university) and the NIL collectives (GC/GG, also separate entities from the university).

They either promised money they didn't have, or they're reneging on the agreement. What's Billy supposed to do? Write the check for them?

He already got him to commit and sign.

Our UAA would never be a part of any NIL discussions with how uptight they are and Florida's laws on that. Napier wouldn't have any discussions about NIL details with a recruit either except to tell them that is the Gator Guard's deal or whoever it is.

This kid has clowns representing him I think dropping all kinds of nonsense to reporters. The 13 million joke figure tells me that. Boosters with info in the past say that is not even close to what is being argued about. Now did some powerless person that doesn't actually write the checks for a collective verbally tell this kid he could get something for him that he actually couldn't I don't know. It's at the point he needs to either accept what our boosters are willing to pay or just move on.

My guess is Stricklin would have no issue releasing him. I damn sure hope if he leaves he does only end up getting half of what we are offering him now for all this BS.

Ruiz

This is one of the few people that knows exactly what happened probably. With his comments after signing day about the Gators and NIL I wonder if some of the NIL headaches aren't related to the time after Rashada committed to Miami besides the issues with our side.

Thinking the longer this goes on, the better it is for Florida. I don’t know where else he can go after this and expect a deal anywhere close to what was supposed to be offered. Any backer will put in so many clauses to protect everything they spend on an NIL deal.

The hold up is paying the existing deal. Either the money isn’t there or it’s the refusal to pay it.

I don't think he has any enforceable legal deal and won't be collecting on any lawsuit. That idiot that ran the collective may have made some joke proposal to him on his own but no big boosters actually writing the checks ever told that kid or signed anything they would give him 13 million dollars. Even Ruiz on twitter was laughing about that 13 million dollar figure saying it wasn't even in the ballpark of what the NIL rate would be for Rashada. I am going to laugh if his agents get him stuck at some Pac 12 school for less than half of what we were offering him for real the last few days.

I'll only be able to laugh at that if we can get Walker Howard.

That he is visiting Ole Miss and no mention of visiting us scares me. I heard transfers have through next week to get enrolled unlike high school recruits. I hope that is true.

I’ll take him but let’s be honest, he wouldn’t start over the other two guys we have. Then DJ comin after next season

You got one guy with 3 yrs starting exp and another with a yr in the system. A guy who’s thrown 4 passes at the college level would be an uphill climb to be QB week 1

I’m beginning to think QBs are overrated. How does Georgia go back to back with a walk on that can only throw quick slants?

We just need a body that can read a defense and make some quick decent throws while not running for their life. Theresa lot of teams that do more with less at the QB position. They may not be championship caliber, but competitive.

We need to build more at skill positions.

I think hecwould have every opportunity to start here.

I think Howard has way WAY more talent then Mertz or Miller and would beat them out easily!!!!

We need a gun slinger at QB and Howard is definitely the type of guy we need.

If Napier can get Howard then he can tell Reshada to take the train to Ruiz and Miami if Miami still wants him. I hope he ends up in the pac 12 with a lot less of a nil deal.

I agree, unless they are like a Tebow, Cam, or Burrow transcendent qb.

But those are very few and far between. No amount of recruiting 5 star ratings can guarantee that someone will be one.

He was supposed to be Kelly’s guy in waiting at LSU and lost out to Nuss.

Again, I’ll take him just to shut the Rashada shite talk down but He’s gonna go where he knows he can start. He just proved he’s not gonna wait to play so It’s not a loss on Billy if he goes elsewhere due to that.
Honestly I’ll take a Tackle right now over another portal QB.

Every team n the playoffs had good QB play.
You need a gamer to beat the UGAs out there.

AR in 3 games vs teams allowing less than 20ppg
40.6% Comp avg

Miller
59% Conp

Mertz played 4 defenses allowing less than 20ppg
53.3% Comp avg

For shits n giggles
(Limited) Walker vs Purdue 50% 1.8 yard per avg
Mertz vs Purdue 62% 9.7 yard per avg

Just sayin ppl need to chill acting like the sky is falling post AR. We have guys who can throw that will be battling for the spot in camp. Let’s not forget Miller ran for his life vs OSU and Mertz played for 3 different OCs in 3 yrs with Wisc level talent around him. 1 OC is now an OL coach and the last is unemployed. Probably why the HC got fired.
Billy thinks he can salvage this kids career, I very highly doubt he came here to ride pine.

A good QB can really elevate a team though. My guess is to knock Georgia off short of just a big upset we will need that really good QB to overcome the talent difference. Same with Bama most years though they didn't have the talent they usually have this season.
