Mullen said Hendo looks to have a mild ankle sprain.

If its not that bad, Hendo can probably play at UK.

This year Mullen needs to pass to open up the run.

It's bizarre how many people fail to realize this on the board. The game is synergistic, and in the end people realize that they would rather Franks throw on them than let Davis/Perine/Pierce nickel and dime them to death.

It's like the entire board was in a coma for the last decade and don't remember that every team loads the box and prays that our QB can't hit players. When we go into SEC Play we have got to go downfield way more often, way earlier.

Franks is clearly the best QB on the team.

Playing behind the first string offensive line with the first string WRs.

He really didn't do anything impressive in this game that any QB on the team might have been able to do. The vast majority of his passes were at, 3 yards beyond or behind the LOS -- which is what he should do.

The passes he made were to wide open players because the entire defense was focused to stopping the run.

In the end, this is an FCS team that we blew out -- that we should blow out, but we also have to be objective and realize that if an FCS team can stop our short game like this, Franks is going to have to win games with his arm.

He did it while punching down against an easy opponent, now we need him to do this against the UGAs and LSUs.

But he had all day to throw while you guys bitched about the offensive line. If we're better at pass protection, then we should be throwing more. Take what the defense gives you and we win most of our games as long as we don't turn the ball over.

That’s a play calling issue not a franks issue.

The first quarter play calling was bizarre.

Once they called some deep passes uf was fine.

You are showing that no matter what Franks does your going to bash him . You should become a gator and get on board with what the team is doing or find another team . Franks will be the starter all and likely next year .

It's been said but the O line is a concern. Hopefully, something clicks in the next 3-4 weeks or that Auburn d line is going to feast.

UPDATE: #Gators’ Kadarius Toney is expected to be out between 6-8 weeks, and CJ Henderson is expected to be out for up to a month:

Not that getting hurt early in the season precludes injury later in the season, but if we had to lose Henderson for a month, I'd rather it be now than October.

I gave him credit for FSU and Michigan, one a terrible team the other he didn't even get 200 yards of passing offense.

Nothing I saw against a Division II opponent made me think he was progressing and getting better.

The playcalling is a direct result of Franks not being comfortable throwing downfield -- and only did we change when it was apparent that the other team was completely dedicated to stopping the short game (which was why the TD passes were to wide open players).

The only play that was completed in traffic for a TD was Trask's throw to Copeland on the goal line. Any decent QB with vision can hit wide open guys, the point is that we need him to start hitting more difficult throws (there is a great example against Miami, but we need to do that against real defenses).

True Freshman Sam Howell showed us that Miami's defense isn't nearly as elite or good as people were dirtying their knees over to suck them off and make our victory more than it was.

So Franks shouldn’t be our starting QB ?

2-0 heading to KY. I never thought Id see so much bitching after a 45-0 performance by a Gator “fan”

Gonna be a long season, boys. If he acts like this after a win, id hate to see this place after a loss.

It would be interesting to know what Franks would have to do to get Straws to stop bashing him every game . It’s not winning games or being efficient.

If none of you have figured it out yet...Straws is NOT a Gator fan...probably a nole..gets kicks trying to stir shite up. Why is she allowed on this board????

Straws only posts negative shite about Franks, doesn't care about the team...needs to be run off this board with the constant bashing. She knows she isn't a Gator fan...why bother us? Go somewhere else. I hope she chokes on Willies big willie.

So Franks just finishes the game with the highest comp percentage in UF history(I think they said over 20 passes thrown)...and he still sucked? Jesus Straws.
