Perine was wide, wide, wide open in the flat. Yikes.

So far, I'm more worried about our running game than Franks. Not sure if it's the line or the back, but Perine seems particularly ineffective this year.

Franks hasn't made a single pass over 5 yards.

Our passing game is the reason our running game is not working.

Look, I get no matter what happens your read is going to be that it's all Frank's fault. I don't agree that, in playing UT Martin, we should be getting stuffed like this, regardless of who is playing QB or how they are playing.

Yeah, Franks needs to open up better holes vs inferior opposition

If you put 8 guys in the box every down, even with lesser talent, you are more than likely going to stop the run.

There is no reason we shouldn't be throwing to one on one on the edge.

So why not throw downfield against them? If they're loading the box, why not trust your QB to make a few passes downfield?

I said after the Miami game I was the most concerned with the olines run blocking. At least the defense is tackling better.

You guys aren't watching the same game. There are zero passing first downs that go beyond 3 yards -- we have several ten yard rushing first downs.

We have got to try to hit someone downfield.

Just like that, touchdown.

Running will open up now.

It was the short stuff that opened up that deep pass.

Im watching the LOS.
Blue jerseys go forward. Good
Blue jerseys stalemate or go backwards . Bad

They were literally loading the box every down.

It was the OL giving Franks 5 seconds of pocket time.

Please, guys. Watch the game. That was like Madden level of awareness to throw a pass when they're loading the box like every defense we've played for ten years.

Yeah, our pass blocking is fine. Our run blocking is not. O lines can be good at one and suck at the other; they're completely different techniques.

Against UT Martin, I don't care if they have 8 in the box, our O-line should be able to get some push. Every top team in the conference would be able to push a UT Martin, even stacked, back a yard or two at the line.
