I Agree,
That is the same problem that Mullen had with wanting to keep Hevesy and Grantham!!!

Napier's hevesy and Grantham are Sale/Stapleton and Armstrong/Roberts

Maybe I'm wrong but I think the talent is there on defense for them to be better than they are.
If Roberts is right and they don't trust Each other out there on the field than it won't get any better as the season goes along it will only get worse.
You can see it when a play doesn't go there way it's almost like they give up on defense.

Agree completely and that's what infuriates me most about Napier.

It's one thing if he just sucked as a game day coach. Not that that would be acceptable, as bad as he is at it, but I could live with it more if he was actually good at being a CEO type coach like he was hyped to be, and that if he wasn't as bad, or worse, as Mullen with nepotism, stubbornness and making bad assistant coach hires.

his ego is getting the better of him as well since he believes he's God's gift to calling an offense.

After lane lost today
It's very obvious that he can not win big in Oxford
I think he would take the Florida job if offered

We need him to lose 3 or 4 games to miss the playoff.

It sounds like our biggest booster said Lanning, Fisch, Riley or Meyer won't be coming here. Lanning due to his crazy buyout and they want nothing to do with Fisch or Riley. He said some interesting names have reached out (Kiffins agent maybe?). It also sounded like Napier could save his job if he could somehow go 6-6 but we know the chance of him doing that is very small.

No Chris Klieman please.

He's not terrible but won't excite anyone and will not be who we need.

If we're gonna go with a somewhat under the radar guy, I'd rather roll with the dude from Indiana.

But neither really appeal much to me (Cignetti I'll re-evaluate once he starts playing real teams)

I lean to Kiffin but hope he goes 9-3 and doesn't collapse like crazy

I thought Kiffin was the obvious pick to replace Mullen.

Mullen really sucked the life out of this program, and the hire to replace him had to be a good one. Turned it it was even worse and more soul sucking than Mullen at his worst.

I still want to see Lane here, but my enthusiasm and optimism for Florida Football is so low now that I don't even think a prime Saban and Bill Belichick collaboration could save it.

Fair

I'll lighten up once Napier is gone and we know who will be the new face of the program.

And while I was being hyperbolic, I can't recall ever being this pessimistic and unenthusiastic about UF Football before.

I was pretty bad in 2021, and hoped we would've made an exciting hire, and Stricklin literally went out and made the complete opposite of an exciting hire

I am as pessimistic about this team as I have been of any in 5 decades.

And you're the King Disney Gator loljk

But seriously, you're the resident sun shine pumper of this board. So for you to have this sentiment says it all.

I am a 100% homer, but this is different. When Napier failed to make necessary changes this season, I gave him the benefit of the doubt until I saw the product on the field which has not improved from last year. I didn't care about wins and losses this year, just wanted to see improvement.

Ditto

Although I jumped to the conclusion that there would be no improvement without the necessary changes. Unfortunately Napier did not prove my assumption false.

Frick him, fire him, and onto the next one.

That’s all I wanted to see this year. Improvement to set up next season. Even though he has upgraded the talent we are the exact same team as year 1. You could actually make an argument we are worse on defense.
At this point this is who we are.
