And the fam aint too worried.

I'm always too busy to really say much on here. Between getting ready for my first baby, working, and doing my part time side job (uber/lyft) I'm always running around

I'm in Horry County and still have power. About 15 minutes from Cherry Grove and Little River.

Got a band making its way thru Aiken now. Light rain atm with wind gusts to 34mph. They're saying tropical storm conditions tonight with heavy rain and wind gusts of 50+ mph.

What I'm hearing about the beach house @ Carolina Beach is that its flooded with some damage. Most of the ppl who had decided to stay are unreachable. I haven't been able to to reach an alarming majority of them via cell.

I was keeping up with a lot of what was going on via Twitter which was actually the best source of info I could find from residents and local meteorologists but Twitter suspended the acct yesterday and this time I honest to God have no reason why. I am pissed the frick off bc I no longer have access to pertinent info.

Y'all stay safe. Seems tonight is going to be when we get the brunt of it in the CSRA and southern Midlands.

We're good. Rough past couple of weeks around here. Lost a dear loved one, had to get her taken care of, held a big memorial and reception. It's taken us a little while to get past it. Miss her terribly.

Then this fricking sissy storm of a hurricane. Still got the beach place for sale, over a year now, and we had to go out there this week and batten down the hatches.

We got in yesterday and we're prepped for just about anything 24/7/365 but it's been busy dealing with all the other stuff. Just found out a tree fell last night on one of my rental homes in Red Bank ... it's always something.

A company I am involved with is working the storm in NC, we've got some 400 people up there dealing with it ... I had to tell them I'm sitting this one out. I just needed a break.

We'll be up there for two years dealing with damage. Hell, we just recently collected our last checks from Matthew.

And I am so ready to go into full retirement.

I guess this next week we'll be dealing with runoff and downflow and creeks rising and pond dams busting.

Thanks CG ... we've moved on. My wife and I were there with her when she passed. She fought hard all night - made it just past daybreak. One of the most courageous, brave, fearless human beings I have ever known. Loved her dearly.

Even with the hurricane bearind down and a reduced crowd for her Memorial, hundreds showed-up to pay their respects. Former Chief Justice Jean Toal and former State Senator, Governor and Sec of Edu under Clinton, Dick Riley both eulogized her at the Memorial. Big turnout at the reception ... people told stories. She was just an incredible woman.

Huge Gamecock fan too. She spent a lot of time with us at the Cockaboose over the years. Last year for the Florida game the band came by and played happy birthday to her and she was looking forward to it again for the Tennessee game this year.

The Law School was her baby. I think I shook every major attorney's hand in the state after her Memorial ... they really turned-out for her.

In a family of achievers, a family who has accomplished members all over our ranks ... dating back to the eighteenth century even, she may have gone down as our most decorated.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg reached out, Sandra Day O'Connor reached out (I met both of them through her) among many others from all over the country. She was just an exceptional human being.

We disagreed on a lot of things political ... but we always got along, always had good debates and we always stayed very close.

Sure am going to miss her at ballgames. She loved Dawn Staley's teams especially. We sat right behind the bench at games and she got to meet all the players and have pictures taken with them all. She had awards running out of her ears ... but her most cherished item was an autographed ball from the National Championship team that I got her. She wouldn't let anyone touch that.
