I figured I'd share a video of precisely why I love the Rebels. It's Ole Miss Party Girl.

I'm actually a closet Ole Miss fan. Have been to a ton of games there since I was a little boy. Was at the Chucky Mullins game ... tragic.

Billy Brewer was a fishing buddy of mine, him and his brother both. We caught a lot of fish at Sardis over the years and I attended his funeral.

I'm all Gamecock this week but Ole Miss is a great place to see a game and experience if y'all ever get a chance. This will be the first time we've played them since joining the SEC that we're not going to Oxford.

Back in the 70s we had some great games againat Ole Miss and these games always seem too close for comfort.

They can light it up through the air so I hope our secondary is up to the task and I hope our DLine can apply some penetration and pressure in their backfield.

Lots of pretty girls in The Grove.

I went in 2003 (freshman year of college) and 2008. It is a cool place to tailgate, but I was never really impressed with their stadium atmosphere. Wish we were making the trip this year, but it just wasn't in the cards.

It's changed a lot since then ... not as much as ours, but a lot.

Yeah, it's a different kind of atmosphere no doubt, much more subdued than ours ... but they do get up for our games.

It just all delends. I suspect it will be fairly subdued for a nooner. Especially if we dominate but this is not going to be easy pickin's. We have never played well there that I can remember. We've won some there but we always seem out of sync when we play in Oxford.

2003 was a great comeback. Dondrial Pinkins to Noah Whitesides all 2nd half. Daccus Turman had some nice runs, too. Think we lost in a shootout by a few.

2008 was the Chris Smelley game. We won that one.

Jason Barnes had his best game ever... Then went back to being a bust.

Thank you Ole Miss.

The birth of sandstorm....

Should we post this one on the main board? "The rest of the SEC should thank Ole Miss...."

Kinda funny it's one of those songs that gets played at MANY sporting events.

Was at a Knicks game a few weeks ago and they blasted it.
Yankees game as well.

One of those songs like Zombie Nation and the WhiteStripes song.

Then you got a song like Jump around... and only one school uses it (that is BAD frickING arse)

How has it run its course? As long as it still gets the stadium - and the student section in particular - pumped up than I am okay with it. And by all accounts, it is doing just fine in that regard.

Don't get angry cause you're getting too old that your knees can't take it anymore. Just do what I do and kind of do this up and down on your tip toes thing.

I don’t think they should play it after field goals

Or blowouts, winning or losing. Especially not after a FG in a losing blowout to a rival

Situational. I'd say playing it after the FG to go up 27-24 vs UT is required.

In a similar vein, I know you don't like the rooster crow but I love it only after we score. Playing it 5 times between 2nd and 3rd down is too much.
