In arguably the SEC game of the week, SC travels to Oxford for the first time since 2008 and for the first time overall since 2009. What's you got Rebs?

DJ Swearinger picked off Eli Manning twice yesterday.

Your mascot Rebels? You can thank us for starting the Civil War.

The emergence of Sandstorm as a Gamecock tradition? When SC knocked off #4 Ole Miss in 2009. The SEC thanks you.

That game was so long ago it featured Nutt, Snead, and McCluster on one side with Garcia and a freshman Alshon Jeffrey on the other.

Seriously though, these teams have only played 3 times since Eli left in 2003.

Our defense is really bad.

Simply put, to beat y’all, we will have to outscore you, force a couple of turnovers, and not turn the ball over ourselves. We have done that this year, but only against G5 competition.

I know y’all have turned the ball over a good bit. How is your defense this season?

I expect a close game. Hopefully the Rebs will come out on top.

Also, if any of you cocks will be in attendance, let me know.

I'm still furious about that 43-40 game against Eli. If there wasn't a "monsoon" ... Carolina would've won damnit!

Yes actually. Colleague of mine is in his first year of OM Law, so going down there to see him and the game and the Grove.

I hate that the game starts at freakin' 11... but that's what we get for general mediocrity. My only regret is that it's not on Jefferson Pilot.

Fun fact, I think the last time we were at Ole Miss in 2008 was in Lincoln.

I was a freshman and attended that game. IIRC it was homecoming and we lost a close one.

08 game @ Ole Miss probably Jason Barnes best ever as a gamecock.

What a bust that guy was.

Anyone have the Marshall Henderson gifs the last time SC and Ole Miss played in the SEC-T? If I recall, Ole Miss fouled on a last second heave from one of our guys... allowing us to free throw our way to a win.

Glad you made this point. They're a flagrant knockoff of the real thing.

Add in the fact that Charlton is apparently an Aussie born kicker according to the announcers from the game Saturday night and this has even more merit.

First two States to sucede. Thanks for leading us to a butt whipping. TN of coarse was the last to join the crowd and Kentucky left us out to dry, at least half of them did.

Is this really where it came from? Had no idea. We have no cool new "tradishuns". At best the only thing we can do is spurn new ones for other SEC members.

Such as:

1. When a Florida QB cries during post game then they will go undefeated the rest of the year and win the natty

2. If any SEC team should beat Saban 2 yrs in a row then Saban/REC will lure your coach into self-destruction by utilizing escorts.

I'm sure there are some other good ones so feel free to add. I like that Sandstorm thing. Pretty neat.

The first time I recall us every playing it was the year prior vs LSU (the game where the ref tackled Garcia) - but it was only played once in a cycle of music.

The 2009 game was where the student section and the fans as a whole really started taking to it. Then towards the end of the game whoever was DJing must've recognized how much the fans were feeding off of it during big moments at the end of the game and kept playing it.
