https://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa/sec/south-carolina-gamecocks.php

2016
09/17 - East Carolina
10/22 - UMass
11/19 - Western Carolina
11/26 - at Clemson

2017
09/02 - NC State (at Charlotte, NC)
09/23 - Louisiana Tech
11/18 - Wofford
11/25 - Clemson

2018
09/15 - Marshall
11/24 - at Clemson

2019
08/31 - North Carolina (at Charlotte, NC)
11/30 - Clemson
TBA - at East Carolina

2020
11/28 - at Clemson
TBA - East Carolina

2021
11/27 - Clemson
TBA - at East Carolina

2022
11/19 - Wofford
11/26 - at Clemson

2023
11/25 - Clemson
TBA - North Carolina (at Charlotte, NC)

2024
11/30 - at Clemson

We're looking 9 years out, including this year.

unc Future Schedule
For me, we play unc in 2019 and 2023, so we might be good there, but I would take another game against them in 2021 if feasible.

NC State Future Schedule
We play them in 2017, but then they don't open again until 2023, so maybe we lock up a 2024 date with them.

Duke Future Schedule
2018 would fit for both schools. So would anything from 2020-22, and 2024. I would like to see us play them once in the next 9 years. I don't know if we could get a CLT game out of it though.

Miami Future Schedule
Miami has an opening in 2022 and 2023. I don't think they'll take an SEC opponent until then though.

Va Tech Future Schedule
Their schedule is already packed, they have 1 opening in 2022, but they'll probably pad the schedule that year. The only way we could play them before 2025 is for them to play us to open 2022 in CLT probably.

UVA Future Schedule
We could do 2019, or 2020 or 2022 against them.

Maryland Future Schedule
Would have to be after 2022.

Ped St Future Schedule
We could make 2018 work. After that, it would be 2024 or later.

Rutgers Future Schedule (strictly for recruiting purposes)
They would probably take any home and home series after 2019. They aren't a big enough draw for CLT though.

As far as the instate schools, we need to schedule the Citadel sooner than later, but we have the $ to fit them in whenever we need to. The same with Wofford or Furman. Those games are really fillers to complete 4 OOC games a year and we can rotate them. We'll have to book Coastal sooner though, but they're open after 2018

If we wanted to schedule tougher matchups with no real regional recruiting benefits (regions we already recruit.)

So Cal Future Schedule
2024 and 2025

Mich St Future Schedule
After 2022 would work for both.

Baylor Future Schedule
2018 or 2019 would work. Would they bring enough people to a game in CLT? I couldn't see us doing a home&home with them, but maybe.

Washington Future Schedule
2017-2019 or after 2022 would work. Maybe a home&home could work.

Oregon Future Schedule
2018 or after 2022.

UCLA Future Schedule
1 opening in 2020

I would really like to see us do a home and home with Oregon State.

My girlfriend is moving out there and I would love to see a Beavs/Cocks match up live.

Would really love to get a Big 10 team on the schedule in the future. Michigan State or Penn State would be awesome.

Also would be fun to get a home and home with the likes of Arizona State. They've shown to be willing to schedule SEC teams.

Was there ever an explanation for GT backing out for the 2019-2020 games? Did they schedule someone else?

I thought we backed out.

Either way, I'd love to play them on a regular basis, but only after Paul Johnson leaves and they quit running the triple-option

I agree, they both already have almost completed OCC schedules the next 9 years, so we would have limited windows of opportunity to play them and a Home&Home wouldn't work unless 1 team was cool with not getting a home game for 10 years.

That's a good suggestion. They have an opening in 2020 & 2021.

Didn't both ADs agree we would never play each other in the regular season again after the '87 brawl? Obviously different administrations are in place now since then but I was just curious if that stipulation is still active.

I don't know if it's still active. What would be funny to see is a Home&Home vs them and us have 10 times more fans in their stadium. Their attendance is so atrocious.

Marshall will play at South Carolina on Sept. 15, 2018 and will receive a $1.4 million guarantee, the school has announced.

We just scheduled a 2018 game against Marshall Univ.

I was at the game in '98....dark times.

indeed. Pennington (NYJets) was their QB, but USC killed itself with awful 4 turnovers including one that gave them the game winning FG as time ran out. ...fat brad

Marshall did dump the taters in the season opener a year later up at Pickens. Tuberville & Ole Miss barely avoided getting beat by Pennington/Randy Moss in a bowl game to end the '97 season. they've always "admitted" any kind of talent at Marshall, football factory style.

$1.4M is a record payout for that school. read where NC State will play at Marshall the week after our game in Columbia. I'm thinking USC paid more for a one-game contract as opposed to any consideration of a home/home deal that NCSU apparently agreed to play.
