Yet we will still get the

But it was a covid season ( the ones that say this are totally ignorant to the fact that everyone played under covid)

Frank took our program to the final four ( yet they ignore the other 9 big danceless seasons).

It is time to send Frank off to another chapter of his life. His recruiting sucks and now his game plans are matching his recruiting.

For those that say " this is our program history" I say Freak off and go accept your mediocrity somewhere else.

I mean we’ve shown our basketball team can be damn good.

Plus, it’s not like we have UK level expectations. But there isn’t a damn reason why we shouldn’t expect to make the freaking NCAA T more than once a decade. That’s not unreasonable in the slightest.

agreed. it's a tired & worn out opinion.

Warchest Odom coached Gamecock basketball for 7 seasons.
- 20 win seasons = 4
- NCAAT = 1 (1st Rd)
- NIT = 3 (2 championships, 1 Runner-up)
- SEC Tournament Runner-up
- .552 overall win %

Frank Martin *8 seasons* (we won't even count this year)
- 20 win seasons = 2
- NCAAT = 1 (Final Four)
- NIT = 1 (2nd Rd)
- .552 overall win %

Odom took over Fogler's abandoned program that recorded a 38-53 record over Eddie's final 3 seasons.

Frank took over Horn's failure that compiled a 39-53 record over his final 3 seasons.

settling for Frank's record is no different than settling for Odom's record. Warchest actually put a few more trophies in the case in one less season than Frank has through his first 8 non-Covid seasons.

if Frank doesn't want to recruit SC kids and deal with all the bullshite prejudice in-state personalities hold against USC - and not deal with AAU handlers - he'll never be able to elevate Gamecock basketball beyond its historical averages.

If he’s not fired after this year
I don’t even know
Maybe he should leave tor a Florida school

He most likely doesn’t have a high buyout does he?

It was 12.6 in 2019 and its 9.6 million now but I believe it does go to 6.5 million after this season. We just paid over 10 million to muschump not including his staff. I don't see the administration having the stomach nor the balls to let Frank go. He will have to retire or get another job for him not to be here next year.

Thats 6.5 million for just the HC then there is the staff plus having to pay the new coaches buyout plus his new salary and his staffs salary. So what 12-15 million to make a switch in basketball. There would have to be some agreement and help from Frank to make this happen. I just don't see big boosters throwing out millions again so quick.

I will say that the fans on all the forums are beating the drum for Franks departure.

I still think we would help from Frank to make a change but I can see it happening more and more. I wonder if our Baseball team does good would that shift the focus off of Frank?

What the baseball team accomplishes shouldn't matter two fricks in regards to Frank/the bball program. That's such a dumb line of thinking. Frank needs to go. What a joke of a season.

Fans/Boosters complaining leads to the admin getting involved. Thats how Muschamp was finally removed. My thinking is if the baseball team blows up and is looking like the teams of old would that have the fans excited and not worried about Frank and therefore no pressure on the administration to confront the issue.

Unfortunately I think this is true
We just don’t care enough about basketball as a fanbase
And hold baseball to a higher regard.
Once baseball seasons starts, most fans won’t give enough shits about our crappy season, especially if baseball does well
And I’m assuming they will, we always do well right?

Our fanbase cares about which sport is currently the most successful. Just look at Women's basketball team and how large of a following it has with our fans. One reason we have allowed mediocrity with our mens bball team is that we have had one of the nations best teams in baseball. Baseball starts before march madness and by that time we have switched all our cheering to them and could care less about basketball.
