It’s pretty ridiculous that even in situations like this it doesn’t knock down a buyout when a coach gets fired

Example: pretty sure guys like Bruce Pearl still got money even after he was fired at Tennessee

Nah we are a " whatever sport is currently the most successful " school. We just go to football games because of tailgating and meeting old friends.

Frank's closing out year 9 at USC. he's currently 22 games over .500 overall in his time as HC. here's a look at the other HCs who have 5+ seasons in the big chair.

+24 Dave Odom - 7 seasons
+22 Frank Martin - 9 seasons
+13 Bill Foster - 6 seasons
+6 Eddie Fogler - 8 seasons
-0- Rock Norman - 6 seasons
-3 Frank Johnson - 15 seasons
-30 Ted Petoskey - 5 seasons

NCAAT

McGuire - 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 10, 16
Felton - 12, 16
Fogler - 4, 5

Best Win% - Single Season (Among the HCs with 5+ seasons)

.893 - 1969-70 McGuire 25-3
.828 - 1971-72 McGuire 24-5
.815 - 1973-74 McGuire 22-5
.793 - 1970-71 McGuire 23-6
.759 - 1972-73 McGuire 22-7
.750 - 1996-97 Fogler 24-8
.750 - 1968-69 McGuire 21-7
.742 - 1997-98 Fogler 23-8

Even when we were “good” at basketball
No one cared

And I’m talking about the first home game after the final four year.
Where we put the banner up, arena probably half full.

I don't know. I think that had more to do with people could see the writing on the wall with Dozier and Thornwell leaving + the university did a terrible job of actually promoting that as a ceremony/event to attend rather than just a game.

People care about basketball, that's part of why our arena is so large and one that does sell out or get close to selling out when we were good, we've just been so bad for so long they're beaten down about it.

With that said I would love to go back to 12,000 seat arena.

We can both agree this is a football school
