I love Saban and Bama but this is worse than 2007 LaMo loss

We had the better players, supposedly the better coaches and we still got our arse beat by 30.
Pure arrogance by the coaching staff to not take what they were giving us. Even take away Tuas two gifts and we still lose by 14.
FOUR trips inside the 20 with jack shite to show for it. We get inside the 20 and abandon the run.
The defense quit but this loss is solely on the coaching staff. A very poorly prepared team.

I lost count of how many stupid mistakes were made tonight.

Don’t take this the wrong way but how fricking old are you?

Old enough to be correct.

Threadstarter is right. Stastically, this is our worst loss since Arkansas rumped us in 1998, but this is the worst loss in the Saban era, and it's not even close.
The LaMonroe loss was due to a depleted 2-deep (textbook scandal) and guys knowing they were getting processed after the season.
This game? Pure foolishness.

And we ran at will. Should have went Nebraska 90’s on them. We tin horned them on the ground.

For starters, when you said we abandoned the run inside the 20. 2nd and goal from the 1 and we ran it three times in a row.
Second, when you said we had the better players. You must be on crack if you think out players on defense are better than what Clemson had on offense.

They twice ran off tackle with Harris and then inexplicably ran Tagovailoa off tackle. You can't really give Locksley credit for running in that scenario either, when they ran a tunnel screen and shovel pass after getting to the one in the first quarter. Having to settle for a field goal there completely changed the game.

Clemson's offensive strengths were the QB and the WRs. Our secondary was one of our worst units if not the worst unit. Now, our secondary isn't bad due to a lack of talent.

In an effort to not always seem like a complainer, I've refrained for weeks from mentioning that I think we'll be better off at OC when Locksley leaves.

I've been done with Locksley since his playcalling killed the first drive of the SECCG. He's good between the 20s, but the worst red zone OC I've seen since definitely Applewhite, maybe even Rader.

No, he's not. We just have so much talent on offense that it doesn't matter what he calls.

What is wrong with you people?
A loss in the NC game as the defending NC is never as bad as a loss to a La-Monroe.
And let’s say you are right (you’re not, I’m just playing Devils advocate) look at the run Bama has been on since that loss.
Get a grip you spoiled lunatics.

We gifted them a pick TD and pissed away 25 points on four drives where we reached 1st and goal but only scored 3 points total. 7 + 25 = 32. We lost by 28. And we threw a pick in the red zone on another drive. We could've (should've) won that game.
I was very disappointed in our defensive plan and calls. Venables did a great job with the variety of disguised blitzes. We were very vanilla, rushing 3 most of the time and showing our blitzes when we did call them. We made it easy for Clemson's offense. Our goal-to-go offensive play calling was very bad.
This loss was not like the final score. And it falls much more on a poor job of in-game coaching than on the players or anything else, imo.
