Me likey!

I've said it before but I don't think MU is a pitstop for Drink. This hire confirms that thinking.

If they get rolling the next decade could be fun!

Thanks for the link. He presented himself very well. I think Drink made an excellent hire. Really better than I even thought he could do.

I haven’t felt this good about the program in a long time

Coach Drink's presser:(Drink says a lot of guys wanted that d-coordinator position, but Wilks was his guy from the beginning)

Great bunch of hires. I wish there was some more recruiting experience but thats just nitpicking. NFL coaching doesn’t require you to smile when you taste grandma’s shitty fried chicken in all those recruit family kitchens.

All of the above.

This all feels like it could potentially be better than Pinkel.

Yep, serious kool-aid chugging going down here, but, what the hell, sometimes the stuff is actually good for ya!

After watching the first part of Wilks presser, it seems like he took the job to be the next coach-in-waiting after Drink goes to the next level. Would make perfect sense. There’s no OC to compete with and he mentioned longevity as the reason for taking the job. With so many career changes and his age, I’ll bet he thinks he will be the HC in less than 4 years and will stay here for the rest of his career. That works for me if he can get the job done.

Yeah, Drink puts in 3 good years and the Raiders will be sniffing around. If Wilks can stifle these new offenses just a bit, Drinks offense will win alot of games.

I don't really think that. I think Drink is a pure college guy, and may be here quite a while if successful.

Wilks is looking for rehabilitation and the enjoyment of teaching kids how to play defense. I could see him going to a G5 HC position in a few years, or back to the NFL. And if he does this, then the MU DC position suddenly becomes VERY desirable.

I think we may have quietly won the offseason this year, but the rantards will never see it.

Oh I think it's totally plausible for the NFL to be after Drink. Young, innovative offense. Rhule had what, 3 years at Baylor and 1 really good season at Temple. Klingsbury was known for his offense even though he didn't win much. Lincoln Riley would be gone if he wanted. In 3 years the Raiders will still suck, they will have 2 years left on Grudens guaranteed contract, and they will be sniffing around Drink. I'm calling it now. Book It!

You mean all the other HCs that are much better than Drink doesn't get a call? But Drinkwitz of all the other better HCs will get it over them?
