This is my opinion I don’t need And ain’t looking for a debate. Chime in with yours if you like...

RBs - A
OL - B+
WR - C-
TE/HB - ?
QB - D-

Offensive game plan - B-
Execution of game plan - C

DL - B-
LB - A
CB - C
S - B -

Defensive game plan - B+
Execution of game plan - B-

Special Teams
All solid A’s except punt return D+

I thought the OL made a big improvement and expect they will with more reps. DL just isn’t rotating enough guys at the moment. Especially inside. Zakoby in my opinion is our best linebacker even when Britt is on the field. Our DBs have to grow up and stop the shite talking. Do you job and at the end of the game let the talking speak for your play. Sherwood is an absolute beast. We need to go with Tennison some over Tutt just to give both reps. I guess Zion is some emergency linebacker but we need him and Peters (or Matthew Hill) to start giving us some depth at safety. The 3 corners are generally doing well overall but are young. McCreary is doing dang good for being our number 1.

Looks like Tank is the workhorse as he should be by his play on the field. As a true freshman I don’t want him with more then 20 carries in a game. 15-20 is perfect in my opinion regardless of need. DL looks to be the 3rd down blocking back. He and shiver (or where MAR is) need about 6-8 carries each to get us up to around that 30-35 rushes mark.

Wide Receivers have a long way to go. Thought capers other then the alligator arms on that one play has looked pretty good. He should take shed’s spot already. Eli and Seth are our best downfield. Schwartz needs football weight if he’s serious about concentrating on football. But has huge upside so development will be big. I think we have some young guys that can be good contributors but we need 2 highly rated WRs to compete regularly.

Bo... not even sure where to start. Way to much was put on him in the game plan for yesterday’s game. Needed more running and the WRs to give a little more help. The OL protected very well but he just rolls out. At this point the coaches either address it or we will continue to see that 55% passer. I wouldn’t mind seeing Bo have a few more designed runs and not just zone read outside but zone read inside power.

I like trick plays generally because they are exciting for the players. However when you are failing on execution of your base offense please scrap that crap. I’ve mentioned a couple times I’m not sure this offense is built to be a pass first offense. In accuracy at QB and lack of high end WR talent. I think we need more running involved.

Nothing needs to be said about coaching thst hasn’t been said over and over but will say as just mentioned less passing on O, more rotation on defense, less blitzing, and let’s run some zone coverages. Doesn’t have to be a part of the base defense but we have some long DBs and athletic LBs. Let them get some breaks and play soft coverage every once in a while maybe get some turnovers ourselves because we ain’t getting pressure now.

This. Bo is forcing things. He needs to let things come to him. I know he’s started a bunch of games, but he really has not calmed down.

I’m sure QB is a difficult position in that you really need a playmaker, but the problem now is Bo is a playmaker for the other team.

There is nothing wrong with simplifying the offense to take care of football, avoid penalties, and mostly run the ball.

Bo is not Cam or Nick.

We should call our offense the "sandlot panic" offense

I am amazed they didnt have more holds with how much nix scrambles around looking for passes. Which leads me into Nix. They need to get him more pocket presence and maybe just a two option check down then if he doesnt have anything, dump it to safe guy or get rid of it. He spends entirely too much time waiting for open players. By then the routes are busted.

I'd have to watch the game to offer commentary on this topic.

Wow, I’m impressed corch. I can’t believe you didn’t give us A’s across the board, lol.... this is pretty spot on. I agree on pretty much all points, except LB. I don’t believe they played an “A” game. McClain is an absolute stud. If he was a little bigger, he would be the best LB in the country IMO. Pappoe is lost most of the time, and doesn’t fill holes like an elite LB should. Hopefully he’ll get there

Pretty spot on...I do believe the OL was more like a C+ and the LB's were a B-. They only averaged 3.6 ypc, but I'd love to see that stat with the lost yardage plays removed. They definitely gashed us enough to require bringing the safeties down to help which hurt us in the passing game. Britt not being in that game IMO was huge. He would have been the perfect match for their big back.

I’m realistic. I just push back against the negative Nancy’s. I take a different approach viewing a game then most. And at the end of the day it’s just a game I try not to get to emotionally invested in a play by play basis and as a coach generally are optimistic.

I appreciate your analysis but I don't understand the part where you said Bo has too much on him. The only thing i think they at least expected from him is to stay in the pocket (there were plenty of times where he didn't have to bail out) and throw an accurate ball (wide open receivers having to slide to catch balls and interceptions). It seemed they just asked him to do anything any normal quarterback would have to do.

Good question. This is Bo’s first game where we asked him to be the focal point of the offense. He didn’t handle it well. That was my general idea on that. Yes he’s had to be the focal point before like the UGa game last year but it wasn’t the game plan. This game Bo the throw game was the means of how we wanted to move the ball. I will say Bo has generally taken care of the ball and not forced to many throws even being still a young QB so I will give him a pass but if it continues to happen then there is a trend.

We have all discussed the sliding and rolling out of the pocket. Either he gets better at not doing that or if they are going to continue to let him do that for his comfort then we should design some flood routes with deep, intermediate, and short routes designed to be on the same side of the field. Plus slide protection from the OL because he puts the OL in some bad spots moving outside the pocket.

When he does that, it changes everything. The oline will have a pocket, he runs out of it and gets chased down. Eveyone then complains about the oline.

Bad cycle. Plus he sucks throwing on the run

All grades look fair to me, with the exception of the offensive game plan. I think having Nix throw the ball 47 times was a major flaw in hindsight.I think Morris overestimated Nix's effectiveness for this season. Morris now has four games to judge Nix's efficiency, the OL, and Tank's emergence so I would expect to see the rush % increase over the rest of the season. With that adjustment we'll be kicking some arse down the stretch.
