you feel the public education system needs to be reformed then you should support the voucher system which allows school choice

Ahh yes because taking money away from school is sure to help them.

People like you that support this have not be inside a school since you graduated.

How about equal funding for all schools along side this a voucher program so kids can go where they wish? Unless you really want to tell me that Midfeild High and Vestavia High have the same funding.

The fundament problem is the way school are funded is designed for inequality. And it is not designed for population movement. It's asinine that we can spend billions on the fricking military but can give all school an equal baseline of funding.

I’m not sure you fully understand how school funding works. Every school obviously won’t get the same money. Student numbers vary therefore funding varies. Plus you have to bring in a big contributor to school funding local property taxes. I know multiple schools that require a “donation” to the school to get a locker. Not a locker fee, that’s on top but a donation just to be able to get a locker. So sure raise taxes in the areas that need better schools in your opinion and I’m sure that will help that area so much. You can get a good education even at a bad school. Trust me I’m proof of that which probably 80% on here think I’m a dumbass lol. Everyone of these issues we have discussed can be resolved with 2 words... personal responsibility

Jesus.

This is the thread that makes me come out of hiding.

Take this shite to the political board, or the AL.Com comment section.

I, for one, am excited about the Homefield Apparel launch tomorrow. And I'm sure I'll probably spend money I shouldn't on something from them.

I remember that place. I would usually ready 2 mins, then shake my head and go and lie down for a while.

Sorry but you are sadly incorrect. I am well aware of the school situation in my local area.

I don't know about these two schools but funding will never be equal unless you change the rules and you have to have a willing populace and politicians. But you have to take on the unions that protect bad teachers and administration. Most of the funding really doesn't go to the kids for education. Go look at your local School county administration budget or even your city budget and see where the money goes...it might shock you. School vouchers would work. Most private schools may give you a better education at a lower cost or at least in my area compared to what they say they pay per student.

Is the only thing you can do is regurgitate Republicans talking points? What do you blame in states like Alabama that does not have teacher's union?

Are you also get rid of police union too? That would help reform policing correct?
