Prediction: UK Joey Gatewood Eligible this week

I have the feeling NCAA is going to approve damn near any and all waivers this season. They tabled what amounted to a 1 time transfer rule for later but it still passed the smaller committee. And with covid, some players are going to sit out anyway. There's no real point to them being super rigid this year.

He’s definitely in the mold of Cam Newton, but it’s a question of whether he’s poor mans Cam or homeless mans Cam.

Poor mans Cam Newton is definitely better than what UK is used to at QB.

I wish we had gotten to see a little bit more of him. I think he only saw real action in the bowl game before he made the decision to transfer.

So UK has 2 QBs who can’t throw a forward pass now?

I am pulling for the guy. Seems like a good person. Some, doesn't mean they are right, guys that cover AU had said a few times he was not a SEC QB at the time him and Nix were battling.

2. A better comparison would be to Dak Prescott. Joey is a better QB at this age than Dak was.

3. Question is how “rapidly” he improves his skills at reading defenses and making decisions as to where to go with the football. When compared to Bo Nix, he lost ground significantly in a few weeks. (In Gus’ passing system - whatever that system happens to be and even I can’t figure it out)

4. His athleticism is very good.

5. His character is top notch.

6. His power running will surprise you and I think he is faster than Dak.

7. He has very good arm strength.

In short, you are getting a QB that would start for 80% of all the schools in the SEC.
