Ok, let's name the big six as Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida. For the teams NOT in this group, it's easy to play three of these teams in a year. There is a need to choose a SEVENTH "big" team so that the big six teams can play three big six schools a year then 2 big six schools plus the big 7th school. It may be that to allow for rivalry games, etc that each year, somehow EVERYONE plays four big six/or seven schools. The thing to avoid is making the schedule too difficult to compete against other schools outside the conference for the college football playoff spots.

So, from your post, the "B6" now becomes the "B7".
I see your point where each "Big" school could play 3 1 year & the other 3 the next year.
However, you still HAVEN'T given any kind of format for us to go by. Doing your idea has thrown "The Roommate Switch" out the window because there's no way to divide 7 teams evenly. Also, you couldn't use 1 of the "group of 3" & "group of 4" because, as I stated earlier, whomever is in your pod are teams you'll play yearly. So those in the "group of 4" pod would already have their 3 "Big" opponents.
So, with 1/2 the conference considered "Big", how do you divide up the other 7 members to achieve, at least, an 8 game conf. schedule (which means @ least 5 will have to be played).

Just have teams play a SEVEN game Conference schedule every year. If some teams have a yearly rivalry that they want to play, just have it count as a non-conference game on the years it is not supposed to be part of the conference schedule. Every other year, Alabama-Auburn, Alabama-Tennessee, Georgia-Auburn, Georgia-Florida, LSU-Florida, LSU-Auburn, LSU-Alabama, etc would be "non-conference" games and would not impact the standings. To balance out the home and home schedules, they could rotate every two years instead of yearly so that each team over a four year span has one conference home game with every opponent.
In a conference with 14 teams there is only so much you can do.
