The schedules you posted are not fairly balanced if you simply look at how many "big six" opponents each team has to play each year.

Maybe Germy Proot will work some magic but otherwise it’s time to change it to the Big 5 imo

Care to explain HOW teams can play 7 or 8 of "the big 6"?
At most , it would be 5 (for the B6) or 6 (everybody else).

I redid the site's chart with current divisions/B6 & listed the results below.

New Orleans “y’at” accent is very similar to Brooklyn due to the large Italian population. Heck, Chalmatians barely sound like they’re speaking English.

1 - WHY is SC in the "SEC East"?
2 - WHY is Tn. in the "SEC South"?
3 - Move Ark. to "SEC West", LSU to "SEC South", & TN to "SEC East", & SC to "SEC North". This puts the Big 6 playing each other more often - which many seem to want.

What a huge mistake. Not a quality team in the bunch.

The totals are for the two year cycle of each team. Some big 6 teams play each other every year in your proposed schedule as they are rivalry games for the teams involved.

Your revised schedules punish the big six schools by giving them harder paths to the championship than the little 8. In a two year span they have 2 more games against big six competition than the little guys. Find a way to balance this, perhaps using a three year cycle.

2. Is 30 or 35 when you plan to move out of mama’s house?
3. What is today’s coping strategy for totally failing at afulthood?

QUIT picking on the hogs and game hens!

They've been here a while now and have played in some memorable games and seasons.

They have earned their place into SEC lore.

MIZZOU and TEX A&M have got some work to do. Especially, the one with a collie mascot called Reveille.

For all the crap i give A&M on this board it is nice to have someone to smack talk. Sure we smack talk bama, fl and auburn but deep down we know they are not our rival. Ole miss used to be but not really in our league since 70's but still has Miss state. If A&M would ever really get it together which they could with the facilities, recruiting etc.. in texas it could get interesting. Would be the rival i have never seen in my lifetime. the seed is there A&M just needs to take it up a notch.

It’ll happen because it’s always existed between A&M and LSU. In the late 80s and early 90s it was a very strong rivalry, so much so that one time the Houston Chronicle listed it in an early 90s article as one of the top 10 national rivalries. It was a strong rivalry in the 60s and 70s, and the 1940s.

While it has been one sided recently, history suggests and A&M will have their day at some point.

Glad to be in the SEC!

My plan, according to their format, was split the B6 into the groups of 3...& the rest in groups of 4. I then broke it down via geography.

If you look at their setup on the page, LSU would be the ONLY B6 school to play the other B6 LESS than they play each other. In that scenario, you're giving them a pass.

To your suggestions:

1 - I don't know any format that everybody plays the same strength except the current where you would have 3-5 each year depending on who you are (6 div., 1 perm. c-d, & 1 rot. c-d).

2- WHAT format (esp. with 14 teams) can you do a 3 year cycle other than my idea of 16 teams? Then again, that depends on how the pods are made (where you can have 0-4 B6 schools in them).
CG contestants
Y1 - Pods AB winner vrs. Pods CD winner
Y2 - Pods AC winner vrs. Pods BD winner
Y3 - Pods AD winner vrs. Pods BC winner

Your post said "each year"...& I went with that view that meaning "yearly"...not "overall in the cycle".

I could redo it to see what comes up...but that would be depending on how you break down the 2 groups of 3 & 2 groups of 4. Keep in mind: like divisions/pods, these 4 groups hold the teams you WILL PLAY EACH YEAR. So, if you're keeping rivalries, you need to remember that.

As I said in the other post, I made the B6 the groups of 3 & geography decide the rest.
